William Regal announced at the NXT TV taping on Wednesday that there will be an NXT North American Championship. The first champion will be determine in a six-way ladder match at NXT Takeover: New Orleans on April 7. The participants in the match will be EC3, Ricochet, Velveteen Dream, Adam Cole, Lars Sullivan, and Killian Dain. [Report courtesy of Jacob Cohen]
Powell’s POV: That’s a loaded ladder match and I like the idea of introducing a secondary championship in NXT. It will be interesting to see if NXT holding a six-way ladder match at Takeover means there won’t be the usual big ladder match a day later at WrestleMania.
