WWE has announced that Shawn Michaels will be the special referee for the Drew McIntyre vs. Adam Cole match for the NXT Championship at the November 17 live event in San Antonio, Texas at Aztec Theatre. Read the official announcement at WWE.com.
Powell’s POV: The event will take place the night before the NXT Takeover: War Games event that will be held in Houston, Texas. Michaels has been working at the WWE Performance Center and obviously this will be a homecoming for him in San Antonio.
