WWE star Chris Jericho’s verbal exchange with a fan in New York City on Friday following a tribute show for late musician David Z. TMZ.com released footage of Jericho and a fan exchanging f-bombs outside the Irving Plaza host venue.

Jericho eventually responded with the following statement: “David Z was a good friend of mine and I was mentally and emotionally shattered after paying tribute to him and essentially saying goodbye to him Friday night. I was not in a good state of mind at that time and instead of ignoring a pushy (aka rude) fan which is what I would usually do, I snapped. My apologies to all involved and God bless David Z.”

Powell’s POV: The late David Z (David Zablidowsky) was the late bassist for Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Adrenaline Mob. As for the incident, plenty of f-bombs were exchanged but fortunately there was no physicality.
