WWE closes out 2016 in Los Angeles and Miami (correspondents needed), NXT, Evolve, ROH, and TNA dates, Bill Kazmaier, Carl Ouellet

-An early Happy New Year! Have a great time on New Year’s Eve and please remember that my late stepfather referred to it as amateur night for a reason. In other words, be safe and smart out there.

-WWE is in Miami, Florida at American Airlines Arena tonight with the following advertised matches: AJ Styles vs. Dean Ambrose vs. John Cena in a Triple Threat for the WWE Championship with James Ellsworth as special timekeeper, The Wyatt Family vs. American Alpha vs. Rhyno and Heath Slater vs. Tyler Breeze and Fandango vs. The Usos in a turmoil match for the Smackdown tag titles, The Miz vs. Dolph Ziggler in a cage match for the Intercontinental Championship, Alexa Bliss vs. Becky Lynch for the Smackdown Women’s Championship.

–WWE is in Los Angeles, California at Staples Center tonight with the following advertised matches: Kevin Owens vs. Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship, Charlotte vs. Sasha Banks for the Raw Women’s Championship, and Sheamus and Cesaro defend the Raw Tag Titles in a four-way.

-The next Ring of Honor event will be January 14 in Atlanta, Georgia at Centre Stage for the first television taping of 2017.

-The next NXT event is January 5 for the first television taping of 2017 in Winter Park, Florida at Full Sail University.

-TNA is taping television on January 5-8, and 10-12 in Orlando, Florida at Universal Studios.

-The next Evolve dates are January 27-28 in San Antonio, Texas at Woodlawn Lake Park Gym.

-Carl Ouellet is 49. He worked as Jean-Pierre Lafitte, Pierre of the Quebecers, X in TNA, among other names.
