Jon Moxley was forced to pull out of his scheduled appearance at Starrcast due to the elbow infection that also forced him to pull out of wrestling at the AEW All Out event. Moxley’s segment at Starrcast will be replaced by “Turner Memories” with Jim Ross and Tony Schiavone looking back on their days working for Turner Sports while employed by WCW.
Powell’s POV: I interviewed Starrcast promoter Conrad Thompson for the Pro Wrestling Boom podcast on Monday and while he was hopeful that Moxley would be still be able to appear, he had also started working on a fallback plan. Starrcast III begins today in Chicago, Illinois at the Hyatt Regency Schaumburg and many of the events are available via FITE.TV.
We received word today that unfortunately @JonMoxley won’t be able to travel to @StarrcastEvents. Once he got the word from his doctor he told us, “I’m sorry, this sucks.” I’m sure we all echo those sentiments. We wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him soon.
