GCW “Fight Club (Night 2)”
October 11, 2026, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, at The Showboat Hotel
Streamed live on TrillerTV+

They are back in the ugly, gray former bus barn. The lights were on, making it easy to see. The crowd was maybe 200, or perhaps 60 percent of night one’s attendance. Emil Jay and John Moseley provided commentary; no Veda Scott tonight. KJ Orso would join later in the show.

* Footage of Saturday’s War Games match opened the show. I truly don’t know a single match of this show. I know that Charles Mason is expected back, but Bear Bronson will not be here, as he headed to Florida for TNA’s PPV.

1. Dustin Waller vs. Devious Cass vs. Sturdy Sal Mistretta vs. Hunter Drake vs. Kavron Kanyon vs. Jeffrey John. Jeffrey has been on a roll here; he’s the odds-on favorite, right? Cass and Sal traded offense in the ring while the others were on the floor. Cass hit a corner fadeaway stunner and a superkick. Kanyon hit a shotgun dropkick, a Facewash kick, and a uranage on Cass. Hunter hit a Lionsault. John hit a back-body drop on Hunter at 2:00. Waller hit a flying clothesline on John and was booed. Dustin hit a running Shooting Star Press for a nearfall.

Emil and Moseley talked about how the crowd has suddenly warmed up to Jeffrey John. (Right on cue, John removed one babushka, but of course he had another one on.) Cass hit a DVD into the corner on Kanyon, but Kanyon slammed Cass. Hunter hit a Sunset Flip Bomb out of the corner. Waller hit a Lethal Injection on Drake at 4:30. John hit a spinning Blue Thunder Bomb on Waller for a nearfall. Waller hit a plancha to the floor. Sal grabbed his football and dove onto everyone on the floor.

Cass hit a flip dive to the floor. Hunter hit a top-rope 450 splash onto everyone on the floor at 6:00 … and he still landed hard! They fought over to a door bridge set up on the floor. Kavron hit a springboard splash onto several guys, with them all crashing through that door bridge. Meanwhile, Jeffrey hit a Canadian Destroyer in the ring on Waller, then an Athena-style flying stunner to pin Dustin. That was a lot of action in a match that short. Good way to open the show.

Jeffrey John defeated Dustin Waller, Devious Cass, Sturdy Sal Mistretta, Hunter Drake, and Kavron Kanyon at 6:53.

* The crowd chanted, “That’s my champ!” John got on the mic and said he still has a lot of questions about what is going on with the GCW World Title belt. He talked about showing up here several years ago, helping set up the ring, and eventually getting onto shows in scrambles. He’s earned his opportunities here!

* Footage aired of Joseph Sawyer winning the GCW World Title belt in this room a couple of months ago.

2. Charles Mason vs. Kylie Alexa in an intergender match. Mason had a prior commitment that made him miss Saturday’s show. He came out with his JCW World Title belt. I admittedly am not a fan of how Mason demolishes and brutalizes women. They circled each other at the bell. Obviously, he has a size and visible strength advantage over the 5’2″ Alexa. They shook hands, but he immediately hit a Sister Abigail swinging faceplant! They went to the floor, and he chopped her to the ground. He put her against the ring post and hit more chops at 2:00, and bit her forehead; then he choked her with a rope around her neck!

Mason hit more chops to the upper chest and one across her stomach! He charged, but she moved, and he crashed into the ring post. She hit some blows to his back, and she whipped him into rows of chairs. Kylie hit her own series of chops. Mason scooped her up for a powerbomb, but threw her into the front row of chairs at 5:00. They got back into the ring, and he was dominating the action. He scratched her back, and she screamed.

Kylie fired up and hit some chops, but he dropped her with one hard chop. He hit a back suplex for a nearfall at 6:30. Charles grabbed Alexa by her hair and swung her around! Mason hit a Meteora into the corner. He missed a move into the corner and crashed. She sprayed fluid in his face and hit some clotheslines. Kylie hit a Cradle Shock for a nearfall at 8:00. He hit another Meteora in the corner, but she hit a Canadian Destroyer. She hit a faceplant for a nearfall.

Mason applied a rear-naked choke; she flipped her body over his and got a nearfall, then she hit a suplex into the turnbuckles. However, Mason hit a discus clothesline at 10:00 and a Meteora against the ropes. He went for his rolling DVD, but she rolled him up for a nearfall. He set up for a piledriver, but he twisted her ankles in a submission hold, and she tapped out! Mason still hit the piledriver, even though he had already won.

Charles Mason defeated Kylie Alexa at 10:42.

* Footage aired of the GCW Tag Title match from Saturday, featuring “Flyin'” Ryan O’Neill turning heel. KJ Orso came out and joined commentary. He’s here to scout the competition!

3. “Cowboy Way” 1 Called Manders and Thomas Shire vs. “The Mane Event’ Midas Black and Jay Lyon vs. “Controlled Kaos” Kid Chaos and Papa Juice vs. “VNDL 48” Otis Cogar and Christian Napier in a four-way tag. The crowd chanted “48!” so I guess they really have become babyfaces. Lyon attacked Kid Chaos, and we’re underway! Papa Juice got in, and he hit a uranage on Midas, then he slammed his son onto Midas. Otis and Napier kicked Kid Chaos, and he rolled to the floor. Cowboy Way jumped in at 1:30 and brawled with VNDL 48. Everyone brawled to the floor.

Kid Chaos dove through the ropes at 3:00. Midas hit a springboard dive onto everyone. Napier hit a flip dive through the ropes onto everyone. Lyon went to the top rope, but Otis crotched him across the rope. Controlled Kaos got back in and hit some front and back kicks. Lyon hit a handspring-back-enzuigiri on Papa Juice at 5:00. Midas hit a clothesline on Kid Chaos for a nearfall, but Shire made the save. Midas hit a spear. Manders scooped up Lyon and slammed him onto a few others.

All eight started fighting in the ring! They all went to the floor again — ref Scarlett has lost all control! Manders was hitting chops on everyone. Lyon got into the ring and hit a springboard moonsault onto everyone in the ring. However, Controlled Kaos hit front-and-back knee strikes on Midas in the ring for a nearfall at 8:30. Otis hit a swinging uranage on Papa Juice for a nearfall. Otis flipped Kid Chaos onto his dad. Lyon hit a Hart Attack clothesline, and Midas immediately locked in a Sharpshooter. However, Manders clotheslined Midas. Manders hit one more clothesline to pin Jay Lyon. Decent brawl.

“Cowboy Way” 1 Called Manders and Thomas Shire defeated “The Mane Event’ Midas Black and Jay Lyon, “Controlled Kaos” Kid Chaos and Papa Juice, and “VNDL 48” Otis Cogar and Christian Napier at 10:17.

* Manders grabbed the mic and noted this was Shire’s debut in this building. He said they’ve been all over the world, and he thinks it’s time they go for tag gold. That made KJ irate. He hopped up from the commentary table and told them that he and Sam Stackhouse already beat them, so they have nothing left to prove. Manders vowed they were going to win the belts!

* Backstage, Juni Underwood confronted Flyin’ Ryan O’Neill about Ryan turning his back on Alec Price and Jordan Oliver. Joey Janela appeared, and he whisked O’Neill away.

4. Marcus Mathers vs. Terry Yaki. I thought Yaki and Juni had the best match of Saturday’s show, and this match could top that one. We got a “Both these guys!” chant at the bell, and they had a clean lockup. Marcus hit an armdrag, but Yaki pulled him to the mat in a headlock. After some quick reversals, they had a standoff at 1:00. Terry hit a basement dropkick. Mathers hit his running Penalty Kick on the apron. Emil called Mathers “The hottest free agent.” They traded chops on the floor. Yaki hit an Asai Moonsault at 3:00.

They continued to loop the ring and traded blows, then got back in. Mathers hit a Flatliner into the middle turnbuckle. He hit his mule kick to the jaw for a nearfall. Mathers hit a bodyslam at 4:30. He applied a Rings of Saturn, but Terry got his feet on the ropes at 6:00. Yaki hit a missile dropkick. Terry hit a Mafia Kick and a Michinoku Driver for a nearfall at 8:00. He hit a sit-out powerbomb for a nearfall! He hit a step-up enzuigiri in the corner.

Mathers hit his corner fadeaway stunner and a Blue Thunder Bomb for a nearfall at 10:00. Yaki nailed a Poison Rana and an enzuigiri, then a DDT out of the corner for a nearfall! Mathers hit his Ospreay-style heel hook kick to the jaw, and they traded rollups. Marcus hit a decapitating clothesline, so Yaki hit one! They traded kicks. Mathers hit a Canadian Destroyer and his swinging Flatliner for the pin! “What a match!” Emil exclaimed.

Marcus Mathers defeated Terry Yaki at 13:18.

5. Joey Janela (w/”Flyin” Ryan O’Neill) vs. Marko Stunt. This is a rematch from the last time they were here, in early August. The heels came out first. Marko approached the ring, superkicked Ryan, and charged into the ring, and we’re underway! Stunt hit a running Penalty Kick and a standing moonsault at 1:00, and Joey rolled to the floor to regroup. Stunt tried a dive, but Joey caught him and tossed him back in. Stunt tried another dive! O’Neill tripped Stunt, causing him to fall and get crotched in the corner. Joey immediately began working over Stunt.

Janela hit a backbreaker over his knee. Ryan choked Marko in the ropes, and Joey hit a back suplex for a nearfall at 3:00. Joey hit a Cedric-style Lumbar Check for a nearfall, and he was dominating. Ryan pulled out a door and slid it into the ring. The crowd chanted, “Joey’s bitch!” at Ryan. Janela placed Marko on a door. However, Marko hit a Frankensteiner through the door bridge for a nearfall at 5:30, then a series of punches on Joey in the corner. Stunt hit a Sliced Bread for a nearfall.

Joey tossed him like a lawn dart into a chair wedged in the corner, then hit a Dragon Suplex for a nearfall at 7:30. Joey set up several chairs in the ring and set up for a powerbomb, but Marko hit a low blow. Joey hit a brainbuster across the open chairs for a believable nearfall at 9:00. (Seriously, how is he kayfabe kicking out of that? No one else would.) Joey put Marko in a chair and repeatedly struck him. Marko hit a German Suplex across the open chair, then he hit a running knee for a nearfall. Joey hit a Razor’s Edge powerbomb onto the edge of the ring frame, then another one at 11:00!

Joey hit a DVD across an open chair for a believable nearfall. (It is absurd that these guys kick out of these moves. It makes everyone else look bad for not kicking out of them.) They got up and traded forearm strikes. Marko hit a hard clothesline and a Poison Rana at 13:00. Joey hit another slam onto an open chair, but Marko kicked out at one. Joey hit a piledriver for a nearfall, then a package piledriver for a nearfall at 15:00.

Ryan handed a weapon to Joey. Juni Underwood ran to ringside, pulled Joey to the floor, and superkicked him. Juni got in the ring and tackled Ryan and stomped on him. Joey attacked Juni. Juni and Ryan took turns slamming chairs across Underwood’s back. Alec Price and Jordan Oliver got in the ring to confront O’Neill!  The short-tempered Price tackled Ryan and hit some punches. Jordan helped beat up Ryan. Joey thought about getting back into the ring to save O’Neill, but he backed off the apron. Price and Oliver hit their team Styles Clash. Stunt got back into the ring and hit a tornado DDT on Joey, then a top-rope 450 Splash for the pin.

Marko Stunt defeated Joey Janela at 19:39.

* Footage aired of Joseph Sawyer getting injured a few weeks ago. Back to the venue, Emil Jay introduced GCW owner Brett Lauderdale. He said they have a “situation.” “We have a champion who is absent. The guy who has our title belt doesn’t want to be here.” Brett said he’s seen a lot of “crazy shit” in 20 years of pro wrestling, but he’s never seen anything like what happened in Cincinnati. “GCW deserves better,” he said.

Brett said that GCW has “taken some big risks” and it’s gotten them to where they are today. He apologized to the fans. He talked about how the promotion has grown over ten years, and started listing all the places where GCW has been, not just in the U.S., but in Europe, Japan, and Australia. He said that Sawyer “doesn’t care two f—s about GCW.” Lauderdale put over the GCW locker room, saying they are passionate and hungry. He said the next champion should come from within, because “They’ve busted their ass and fought through injury.” He said the GCW locker room deserves better.

Lauderdale called Atticus Cogar to the ring! He put over Atticus as being a great locker room leader, and that’s something he certainly wouldn’t have believed five years ago. Atticus got on the mic and thanked Brett for believing in him. They ripped down the Joseph Sawyer banner off the wall.

A video played! Joseph Sawyer was on the screen, saying that what Brett was saying was a bit of truth with a lot of bullshit. “Why would I want to come back?” Sawyer asked. “I don’t need to wrestle anyone in that locker room.” He said the fans don’t appreciate him. He has been doing this for close to 20 years. He belittled Atticus Cogar. He said he has GCW “by the balls.” He said he’ll come back for one match, one night, on Nov. 7 in Indiana, and will give Atticus one shot to win back the title. But once he wins, he’s leaving GCW for good, taking the belt with him, and never coming back.

* Moseley ran down the list of dates of upcoming shows. When we returned to the ring, two tables were set up in opposite corners of the ring. Looks like it’s time for a death match to end the show!

6. Slade vs. Eddy Only. No interest; I saw enough of the deathmatch stuff on Saturday. I zipped to the end. Slade chokeslammed Eddy onto a bundle of light tubes and got the pin.

Slade defeated Eddy Only in about 12:00.

7. Vipress vs. Anakin Murphy vs. Jameson Shook vs. Mr. Danger in a four-way deathmatch. Lots of weapons in the ring. Yeah, I’m just done with these. I zipped through it. Nick Gage came out late in the match, with his arm in a sling, and he brawled with Shook. Vipress hit a piledriver on Mr. Danger for the pin.

Vipress defeated Anakin Murphy, Jameson Shook, and Mr. Danger in a four-way deathmatch in about 10:00.

Final Thoughts: The good news is that Mathers-Yaki was the best match of either night, and Yaki was involved in the best match of each night. That’s quite a feat. I’ll give the four-way tag match second-best, and the scramble takes third.

I admittedly didn’t like much of anything else. Joey Janela and Marko Stunt went to the Shane-O-Mac school of selling tonight. Big bumps were kicked out of, and there was no long-term selling from the impact of those moves. It’s hard to see Stunt kick out of moves that bigger guys from every promotion would sell and get pinned by those moves.

I can’t say I am enjoying the worked shoot of Brett, Atticus, and Sawyer. Joseph got hurt. It’s clear to me, from watching the match, that he tried to tough out the injury and couldn’t. It happens. I don’t understand why there would be ‘heat’ on him for not continuing. Sawyer had to back out of a Wrestling Revolver show due to the injury, too, but they weren’t angry at him for not showing up.

I have routinely praised Charles Mason and Kylie Alexa. They are two of my favorites to watch — how many times have I seen each of them wrestle this year alone? But I just don’t enjoy watching a match where a man brutalizes a woman. Some intergender matches are fine. You’ll never see a match like that on WWE television. Yes, I know that’s somewhat of the point of GCW –to provide an alternative style of wrestling to what is offered by the ‘big guys.’ It just makes me feel uncomfortable.

I have no comment on the final two matches. It seemed like the fans in attendance enjoyed them, and that’s all that really matters.
