Trevor Lee reportedly leaving Impact Wrestling

By Jason Powell, ProWrestling.net Editor (@prowrestlingnet)

Trevor Lee completed his Impact Wrestling run at the Las Vegas tapings this week. Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com reports that Lee gave notice to the promotion and that WWE has shown interest in him.

Powell’s POV: Thank goodness. I normally don’t root for any promotion to lose talent, but Lee has been wasted throughout his Impact run by multiple creative regimes. I said some time ago that he Lee would be a guy who would go on to have WWE success and Impact would someday claim him as an Impact Original even though they dropped the ball on him for so long. Here’s hoping the first part of that statement turns out to be accurate.

..um…yeah….that would be accurate if they do…..

    • An original waste of talent? The point is that Impact should not pat themselves on the back for dropping the ball on him. And before anyone brings up his X Division Title reigns, they were terrible and meant nothing. They booked him to be a dopey hayseed when they could have built the division around him.
