WWE Raw (Episode 1,743)
San Diego, California, at Pechanga Arena
Streamed live on October 19, 2026, on Netflix
[Hour One] Joe Tessitore opened Raw and set up a video package that recapped last week’s 946 vs. Solo Sikoa, Jimmy Uso, and Jey Uso six-man tag match, along with Carmelo Hayes joining the 946… Wade Barrett joined Tessitore on commentary…
World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns arrived in an SUV backstage. WWE Champion Sami Zayn exited another vehicle and was on the phone. Zayn smiled and nodded as he walked past Reigns, who shook his head while looking annoyed…
WWE Champion Sami Zayn made his entrance to boos while ring announcer Alicia Taylor introduced him. Zayn said there were a lot of haters in the house. He asked how many fans came to ride or die with The Last Real Good Guy, which led to more boos.
World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns made his entrance. Reigns said he might be the only person in the building to say that it was good to see Zayn. Sami hugged Reigns, who hugged him back. Zayn said he wanted to text Reigns, but he waited to tell him in person that he was right about so many things he said as the Tribal Chief, particularly about the title being a burden. Reigns said Zayn was listening.
Reigns told the crowd to acknowledge him. Reigns wondered if Zayn was there out of greed or to serve The Bloodline. Zayn said they are family and that doesn’t go away, but he assumed that Reigns would understand that he has his own table.
Reigns said Zayn holds a title, whereas he titles the title. Zayn took offense. Reigns said Zayn’s title hasn’t meant shit since WrestleMania 40, and declared that the World Heavyweight Championship is the title now. Zayn said his title is one in a billion because out of all the people on the planet, he holds the WWE Championship.
Zayn said he was disappointed. He said Reigns wasn’t sweating their match, and he should know what kind of a threat he is. Reigns said he knows exactly who Zayn is. Roman said that with Sami’s track record, he might not even hold the WWE Championship by the time the champion vs. champion match takes place at Crown Jewel. Reigns exited the ring.
Penta made his entrance holding the Money in the Bank briefcase while Reigns was still at ringside and Zayn was inside the ring. Once Penta got to ringside, he held up his briefcase while looking at Reigns. Penta entered the ring and looked at Zayn before playing to the crowd. Zayn left the ring. The broadcast team hyped Penta’s match with Bron Breakker for after the first commercial break… [C]
Powell’s POV: It was fun to revisit the relationship between Roman and Sami after all this time. I didn’t expect the hug, but it was logical that Zayn could relate to some of Roman’s past comments now that Zayn’s character knows what it’s like to be a world champion. They didn’t sell me on Reigns vs. Zayn feeling like a big deal, so hopefully there’s more to come. On a side note, WrestleTix listed the venue as being set up for 10,342, with 10,288 tickets distributed. The listed capacity is 16,100. The last time WWE ran the venue, 10,982 tickets were distributed for the January 17, 2025, Smackdown.
Highlights aired of Bron Breakker tipping over Je’Von Evans’ ladder, which sent him crashing through the top of the ambulance during the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match. Additional footage showed Evans shoving Penta out of the way before taking a Breakker spear on last week’s Raw… The end of Breakker’s entrance was televised…
1. Penta vs. Bron Breakker. Penta performed a Backstabber and then followed up with a springboard clothesline that sent him to the floor. Penta dove over the top rope, and it looked like Breakker was supposed to catch him, but Breakker collapsed. Breakker came right back by running Penta into the ring steps. Breakker hoisted up Penta and dropped him face-first on the broadcast table. [C]
Breakker performed a Frankensteiner to pull Penta from the ropes before he covered him for a near fall. Breakker looked into the hard camera while his singlet straps. Breakker ran the ropes, but Penta superkicked him. Penta put Breakker down with a Penta Driver for a nice near fall.
Austin Theory and Maxxine Dupri ran out while Penta was signaling for Mexican Destroyer. Breakker took advantage of the distraction, but Penta came right back with superkicks on him and Theory. Penta went for a springboard move, but Breakker speared him. Breakker covered Penta, who kicked out, and then Breakker acted surprised.
Dupri climbed onto the apron and distracted the referee while Theory grabbed the Money in the Bank briefcase from the timekeeper’s area. Je’Von Evans, who wore an Anthony Edwards Timberwolves jersey, punched Theory and then picked up the briefcase. Breakker reached through the ropes and grabbed Evans’ hair, only to have Evans hit him with the briefcase. Penta followed up with a Mexican Destroyer and got the three count…
Penta defeated Bron Breakker in 12:45.
Powell’s POV: A good opener. I didn’t expect a clean finish, so Evans getting a measure of revenge on Breakker was a nice way to help keep Penta’s momentum going without hurting Breakker.
Highlights aired of Roxanne Perez beating WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green with a lot of help from Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez on last week’s Raw…
WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green and Iyo Sky made their entrance for a tag team match… [C]
Jackie Redmond interviewed Roman Reigns in the indoor parking area. She asked Reigns about people coming at him from all angles and how he plans to manage that. Roman said he was trying, but it seems to get worse every week. He said he tried to reach out to Sami Zayn and was denied, so he’d have to go back to the drawing board. Reigns got in the back of an SUV that exited the building…
2. WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green and Iyo Sky vs. Women’s Intercontinental Champion Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez (w/Liv Morgan). The Judgment Day trio’s entrance was not televised. Green slapped Rodriguez and then saluted a couple of minutes into the match. Rodriguez got angry and worked over Green, who was also hit by a Morgan cheap shot while the referee wasn’t looking.
A short time later, Rodriguez rolled to the floor to avoid Sky’s Bullet Train. Sky had to fight off Perez before setting up for a move on the apron, but Rodriguez cut her off and flung her into the barricade. [C]
Late in the match, Morgan cut off Green on the ropes while the referee was distracted. Rodriguez tried to take advantage, but Green fought her off. Sky tagged in and then Green performed a crossbody block onto Perez and Morgan on the floor. Rodriguez grabbed Sky and went for her Tejana Bomb finisher, but Sky countered into a pin and got the three count…
WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green and Iyo Sky defeated Women’s Intercontinental Champion Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez in 12:10.
Powell’s POV: A decent match with good crowd support for Green and Sky. Sky pinning Rodriguez backs up Sky stating last week that she intends to go after Rodriguez and her title.
[Hour Two] A 946 video aired with Royce Keys, Jaida Parker, Carmelo Hayes, Bronco Nima, and Lucien Price. Hayes said the Bloodline caught the perfect shot last week. “Ain’t nobody safe,” Parker said to close…
JD McDonagh made his entrance with Dominik Mysterio… [C] Joe Hendry made his entrance with someone wearing the McDonagh Funko Pop head. Hendry and the person in the suit both had guitars. McDonagh knocked Hendry off the apron and then chased the Funko Pop around the ring until Hendry clotheslined him…
3. Joe Hendry (w/The Bad Joke They Won’t Stop Telling) vs. JD McDonagh (w/Dominik Mysterio). The ref called for the bell once both wrestlers were in the ring. McDonagh put Hendry down. The Funko Pop person threw a Funko Pop figure in the ring. McDonagh got pissed and tossed it at him. Moments later, Hendry jumped over the top rope onto McDonagh and Dom. [C]
