Maple Leaf Pro “Mayhem – Episode 9”
Taped August 7-8, 2026, in Windsor, Ontario, at St. Clair College

The crowd looks good, maybe 500 to 700. Mauro Ranallo and Don Callis provided commentary.
** This was presumably recorded August 7, as MLP held tapings August 7-8, but no results for either night have been submitted to cagematch.net. This is the third episode from this taping.
* Sheldon Jean, Bryce Hansen and Brent Banks were backstage, and Sheldon was boasting about what great tag champions they have been. “Sinner & Saint” Judas Icarus and Travis Williams confronted them. Williams challenged them to a match… tonight! Hansen accepted the match on behalf of his teammates, who weren’t happy with him for doing so!
1. Andrade El Idolo vs. TJP. Andrade had four women with him. Ranallo said this is his MLP debut. I’ve been a huge fan of TJ Perkins for a full two decades, and this should be great. The crowd chanted, “How you know?” as they locked up and twisted each other’s left arm. TJP has red eyes today. Mauro (clearly dubbed-in audio here) said there was a confrontation “tonight” at AEW between Adam Copeland and Steve Maclin, and footage was coming from that. Andrade hit a moonsault to the floor. He paused to take photos with two women in the front row (one was Seleziya Sparks; I didn’t recognize the blonde with her.) [C]
In the ring after the break, Andrade hit a Meteora in the corner, then a modified Eye of the Hurricane at 3:30. TJP hit a hard back elbow in the corner and his running Facewash kick. TJP hit the Mamba Splash, and he went for a Rings of Saturn, but Andrade fought free. Andrade hit his hard back elbow, then the double-underhook twisting slam for the pin. Good action; I had hoped this was going longer!
Andrade El Idolo defeated TJP at 6:04.
* Andrade got on the mic and challenged Rohan Raja (who last week said he wanted to face a luchador.) Andrade said he’ll see Raja on Oct. 3 at Northern Rising in Toronto!
* In footage from “last week,” Evil Uno congratulated Stu Grayson on his big win over Johnny TV. Uno said he could see something was clearly bothering him, and he told Stu to “let it go.” They agreed to go get some food.
2. MLP Tag Team Champions Brent Banks and Sheldon Jean (w/Bryce Hansen) vs. “Sinner & Saint” Judas Icarus and Travis Williams in a NON-Title match. The champs wore their belts to the ring. Brent and Travis opened; Banks is deceptively tall (he’s 6’3″!). Williams hit a corner dropkick, then a dive through the ropes onto Sheldon. In the ring, Icarus hit a hard clothesline on Banks for a nearfall. Banks hit a superkick on Travis at 2:00. Sinner & Saint hit stereo kicks in the corner on Banks. Williams hit a Pedigree to pin Banks! “It’s a shocker in Windsor!” Mauro shouted.
“Sinner and Saint” Judas Icarus and Travis Williams defeated MLP Tag Team Champions Brent Banks and Sheldon Jean in a non-title match at 2:38.
* Another fun vignette for Psycho Mike, who is hearing voices.
* Priscilla Kelly was doing a backstage interview. Nikki Storm (f/k/a Nikki Cross) came up and told her she would dedicate her match against Gisele Shaw to her, and Storm said maybe she’ll let Kelly be her first opponent when she wins the belt! Priscilla informed Storm that she will get a title match next week… so maybe she’ll give Nikki the first title shot!
3) “Team CMLL” Neon and Capitan Suicida vs. “The Good Brothers” Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson vs. “Grizzled Young Veterans” James Drake and Zack Gibson vs. “Subculture” Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster in a four-way tag team match. GYV and Subculture were already in the ring; we had ring intros for the others. Two in the ring, six on the apron. Purple-and-black-clad Neon opened against Drake, and he hit a huracanrana. Suicida, wearing yellow pants and a yellow mask, entered and hit a top-rope crossbody block on Drake. Andrews entered at 1:30 and traded quick reversals with Suicida.
Gibson entered and tied up Andrews. Mark hit a standing moonsault. The Good Brothers entered at 3:30, and Doc hit a running splash in the corner on Gibson. He grabbed both luchadors by the throat and pushed them over the top rope to the floor. [C] (Again, commercial breaks are three seconds of black screen.)
In the ring, Suicida hit a huracanrana, then a Swanton Bomb for a nearfall at 5:00. Anderson hit a running boot to the side of Suicida’s head for a nearfall. Andrews hit a tornado DDT on Drake. Neon hit a top-rope missile dropkick, and suddenly all eight were down at 6:30, and we got an “MLP!” chant. Subculture and GYV got to their feet, and those four brawled. Andrews hit a double Stundog Millionaire, then a dive through the ropes. Webster hit a “Shadows Over Malice” (Swanton Bomb).
Neon hit a Mafia Kick on Anderson. Suicida hit a huracanrana on Anderson that didn’t quite connect, but Karl still sold it. On the floor, Gallows hit a double suplex on Team CMLL on the ramp at 8:30! In the ring, Andrews got a rollup on Gibson for a nearfall. GYV hit their team Lungblower move on Andrews, with Drake pinning Andrews! Good action.
“Grizzled Young Veterans” James Drake and Zack Gibson defeated “Team CMLL” Neon and Capitan Suicida and “The Good Brothers” Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson and “Subculture” Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster in a four-way tag at 9:18.
* Backstage, Evil Uno approached Josh Alexander and told him he’s happy he’s back, “but why did you go out there and ruin Stu’s moment?” Josh said that’s the pressure he’s under as champion. (I don’t understand his answer, and Uno didn’t seem to accept it either.)
* Footage aired from “AEW Dynamite earlier today.” Adam Copeland was walking backstage. Steve Maclin ran up and attacked him and threw him into some of the large equipment boxes. This was maybe 30 to 60 seconds, but it was effective.
* Josh Alexander came to the ring, wearing his street clothes; he’s not dressed to wrestle. The crowd chanted, “Walking Weapon!” at him. He had his MLPW Canadian Title belt with him. He talked about suffering a knee injury and fighting his way back so he could return to the ring. Stu Grayson confronted him, and they brawled! They will have a consolidation match on Oct. 3. Alexander left with Don Callis, making it clear he’s now the heel in this feud.
Final Thoughts: I’m really enjoying this product. My biggest complaints are unchanged — I still would like to see some more Canadians on the show, but it’s hard to complain about getting Andrade, TJP, GYV and Subculture on my screen.
The top matches for the big show on October 3 are quickly coming together: Copeland-Maclin, Grayson-Alexander, Andrade-Raja, Shaw against Nikki Storm (possibly Priscilla Kelly in that mix), and presumably Sinner & Saint vs. Banks and Jean in a rematch. As with each episode thus far, it runs 44 minutes, perfectly timed for an hour of broadcast TV.
