Tyler Breeze is no longer under a WWE contract. Breeze took to social media on Tuesday to dispute a fan tweet that said he was still with WWE. “No, he’s not,” Breeze replied via Twitter.com/X. When another fan asked if he would see him in AEW, Breeze replied, “Would love to be a part of AEW.” When another fan asked if everyone joins AEW, Breeze replied: “Not at all. Lots of good promotions out there.”
Powell’s POV: WWE released Breeze in 2021. He was re-signed to a unique deal in 2022 that had him working on content creation, guest coaching, and doing other behind-the-scenes roles, yet the company also allowed him to work independent dates. Breeze has been responding to fan questions on social media and noted that he can go by Breeze, but he can’t use the name Tyler outside WWE. As a fan of the Minnesota Vikings, I feel obligated to suggest the name Kyler Breeze. Anyway, he also stated that he took off the month of August, but he will be working independent dates this month, starting with Sunday when he defends the Next Generation Wrestling Championship against Matt Cross in Knoxville, Tennessee.
