AEW star Darby Allin completed the New York Marathon

By Jason Powell, ProWrestling.net Editor (@prowrestlingnet)

Darby Allin crossed another item off his bucket list. AEW’s TNT Champion completed Sunday’s New York Marathon in five hours, 35 minutes, and 34 seconds. Perhaps even more impressively, Allin announced that he didn’t train for the marathon. “I wanted to challenge myself and not train at all and see what happened,” Allin wrote on Instagram. “What a wild experience. Now time for Blood and Guts!” Check out the post below or via Instagram.com.

Powell’s POV: Allin successfully climbed Mount Everest in May 2025. Swerve Strickland’s response to Darby’s marathon post sums it up nicely. “Ur nuts lololol,” Swerve wrote along with clapping emojis.

AEW referee Aubrey Edwards also wrote something that made Darby’s feat even more impressive. “I still can’t believe you got kicked down the stairs in Mexico then hopped on a flight a few hours later so that you could achieve another crazy milestone,” Edwards wrote on Instagram.

I also challenged myself on Sunday. I wanted to see if I could sit on my ass and watch over six hours of football. I’m proud to say that I completed my goal, though I must confess that I’ve had a lot of training. I would have shot for another three hours, but the Sunday night game looked like ass on paper, so I watched the Minnesota Wild game on delay instead. Where’s my medal?
