* I am aware of some BIG news coming from this show, but I’ll wait to address it as it unfolds.
1. Cappuccino Jones vs. Jimmy House for the ROW Texas Title. House is no longer CJ Valor since leaving the WWE ID program. A handshake at the bell before locking up. Cap got some quick rollups. House hit a dropkick. Jones hit his own dropkick, then an elbow drop for a nearfall at 2:30. House hit a back suplex, then a flying shoulder tackle. House hit his Chaos Theory (rolling German Suplex) for a nearfall. Cap hit a DDT and a leg lariat, then a leaping bulldog. Cap hit a hard slap to the face for a nearfall; the commentators agreed they hadn’t seen that from him.
Cap hit a top-rope crossbody block, but House rolled through it, put Cap across his shoulders, and hit a DVD. He nailed a spear for a believable nearfall at 6:00. House applied a sleeper in the middle of the ring. Jones used his legs to push off the ring post, flip over, and get a nearfall. House missed a spear into the corner. Jones immediately hit a German Suplex, a forearm strike, and the Decaffinator swinging neckbreaker for the pin. Really good match. They hugged afterwards
Cappuccino Jones defeated Jimmy House to retain the ROW Texas Title at 7:00 even.
* Backstage, Blake Troop (think Ken Shamrock) was preparing for his match and wrapping his wrists. He said he needs a focused tag partner. The camera panned over to Buck Gator, who wasn’t paying attention at all. This ‘Odd Couple’ team continues.
2. “The Dirty White Boys” T.Y. Shane and Johnny Lyons vs. Buck Gator and Blake Troop. A commentator called Buck a “doofus.” Blake opened and threw Lyons to the mat. He made a hard tag to the wildly popular Gator. Buck tied up Shane, and he immediately did a Gator Roll on the mat. Buck hit a spin kick to Lyons’ chest. Buck and Blake hit a team gutwrench suplex at 2:30. Shane hit a clothesline on Buck, and the DWB began working over Gator in their corner.

* Backstage, Taylor interviewed Jazmin Allure, who has an announcement to make tonight! She is the first entrant to this year’s Sherri Martel Classic. She also issued an open challenge to any student for tonight.
3. Jazmin Allure vs. Presley Sloan. Presley is a cowgirl, wearing red-and-black with a big black eight-gallon hat. She has black hair in two pigtails, and she’s clearly quite young; I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s still a teen. The commentators confirmed that it’s her ROW debut. They locked up, but Presley made a ‘lasso’ motion before rolling up Jazmin. She hit an armdrag. Jazmin threw her to the mat and hit a dropkick into the corner, then a snap suplex for a nearfall at 1:30. Allure mounted her and hit some punches.
Jazmin hit a standing neckbreaker for a nearfall. She hit a hard slap on the newcomer. Presley hit her own slap to the face. Allure put her in a rear-naked choke on the mat. Presley got an O’Connor Roll for a nearfall! Allure immediately hit a big boot and a twisting neckbreaker for the pin. Satisfying; Presley held her own in her debut.
Jazmin Allure defeated Presley Sloan at 3:29.
* Backstage, Rhys Maddox approached tag partner Erik Lockhart. Erik apologized to him, saying he has a lot on his mind lately, but he added that Rhys “dropped the ball last week,” and he ordered his young apprentice to stay in the back tonight.
3. Erik Lockhart vs. Will Allday. Allday just won the UWN Tag Team Titles in California, but he’s not wearing that belt tonight. (Why not? Seriously! Let someone show off that they are a champion from across the country.) Standing switches and they twisted each other’s left arms. Will hit a dropkick at 2:30. Right on cue, a commentator just noted that Allday “won tag titles out in Hollywood.” (Good!) Allday hit a running spin kick. Erik threw him into the corner, and Allday fell to the floor at 4:00 and sold an arm injury.
Erik threw Allday into the ring and got a nearfall. He hit some running back elbows into the corner. Erik tied him in a Surfboard in the ropes but let go before a five-count. He hit a bodyslam for a nearfall at 6:30 and kept Allday tied up on the mat. Allday dove through the ropes and crashed onto Erik, who immediately sold a leg injury. Allday set up for a second dive, but the ref stopped him, and the ref checked on Erik on the floor. Rhys came out to check on his partner! However, Erik hopped to his feet (showing he was just fine), got in the ring, and hit a Flatliner for a nearfall. However, Allday hit a superkick for the pin!
Will Allday defeated Erik Lockhart at 8:41.
* Backstage, Taylor interviewed Terrale Tempo. He faces WWE ID prospect Max Abrams tonight, and if he wins, he gets a WWE ID contract. Tempo noted he’s a ring veteran, and he’s winning that contract tonight!
4. Max Abrams vs. Terrale Tempo for the WWE ID Title. The commentators noted that beating an ID champion automatically earns the victor an ID contract. No nose protector for Abrams; he’s healthy again! An intense lockup; both men are in great shape, but Terrale (think LeBron James) appears thicker. Max hit a flying back elbow and a leg lariat at 1:00, and he celebrated. He hit a flying elbow drop for a nearfall. Terrale dumped him to the floor; the commentators noted he can’t win the belt via count-out.
Terrale rolled him into the ring and put his foot on the ropes while going for a nearfall, and the crowd booed him. Terrale hit a snap suplex and a leaping elbow drop for a nearfall at 4:00. Max fired up and hit some back elbows and a pump kick at 6:00. He hit a Cody-style Disaster Kick for a nearfall! Max missed a top-rope missile dropkick. Terrale nailed “Black Beauty” (leg lariat) for a believable nearfall, and he argued with the ref. Max hit a Fameasser for the pin. Good action.
Max Abrams defeated Terrale Tempo to retain the WWE ID Title at 7:47.
* Quentin Wynters spoke outside on the phone. He doesn’t know who he’s facing tonight — there is an ‘X’ on the board where his opponent’s name should be. He came to the ring, and the commentators also claimed they don’t know who he will be facing. It’s Matty Ice (think a shorter Donovan Dijak).
5. Quentin Wynters vs. Matty Ice. The commentators noted that Matty hasn’t competed here for a few months. Matty dropped him with a shoulder tackle. Matty hit a clothesline to the floor at 2:00, and they brawled at ringside. In the ring, Wynters dropped Matty throat-first across the top rope, and he took control. Solid match.
Matty Ice defeated Quentin Wynters at 6:42.
* Jossiah Jean came to the ring. He was not dressed to wrestle. Taylor got in the ring, and she interviewed him. He talked about joining House Money… but all it turned into was him “saving AJ Francis‘ ass” over and over. So from now on, “I’m walking my own path.” Booker T’s music played! He came to the ring, and the commentators wondered why the boss was here! Booker T got on the mic and noted he had a tryout recently with WWE. Booker T handed Jossiah a WWE ID contract! The crowd POPPED for this news. “This is the beginning of the journey! Now can you dig it?” Booker T told him. They hugged, and the crowd chanted, “You deserve it!”
6. “Better Together” Ori Gold and Hadar Horvitz vs. “Fat Jitsu” K-Toomer and Mike Anthony. Fat Jitsu is comparable to Fallah Bahh. Anthony opened against Gold, and he slapped Ori to the mat. Better Together hit a team dropkick on Anthony. The big K-Toomer tagged in at 1:00, and he hit a Yes Kick to Hadar’s chest. “That’s a big ninja,” a commentator said. Better Together tried a team dropkick, but it only staggered Fat Jitsu.
K-Toomer hit a double suplex. He hit a HUGE splash onto Gold but didn’t go for a cover! Anthony got in and hit a back elbow on Gold. Hadar entered and hit a springboard crossbody block. Better Together hit stereo dives through the ropes onto K-Toomer. In the ring, K-Toomer and Anthony hit a team bulldog to pin Hadar. The commentators raved about the winners.
“Fat Jitsu” K-Toomer and Mike Anthony defeated “Better Together” Ori Gold and Hadar Horvitz at 4:23.
* Backstage, Taylor interviewed Zack Mason, who is facing Will Austin tonight. Zack noted they’ve each won once, so this one is winner-takes-all. We then saw Clay Roberts talking to Ajaxx backstage. They got locked in a room by Buck Gator and Blake Troop!
7. Zack Mason vs. Will Austin. Austin pie-faced him at the bell. Zack clotheslined him to the floor, and he dove onto him. On the floor, Austin pushed him into the ring steps, and Mason was selling an arm injury. They got into the ring, and Austin targeted the left arm and worked it over. They fought on the top rope, but both crashed hard to the mat and were down at 4:30.

Zack Mason defeated Will Austin at 7:15.
* Backstage, Will Allday and Cam Cole spoke. Allday is getting a title shot tonight. Cole told him to “finish the job.”
8. Max Castellanos (w/Ms. Alexa) vs. Will Allday for the ROW Title. Standing Switches and a feeling-out process to open. Allday hit a running penalty kick for a nearfall at 1:30, then a baseball slide dropkick to the floor and a plancha. In the ring, Max stomped on Allday and kept him grounded. He threw Allday stomach-first across the top rope and got a nearfall at 3:30. He put Allday in a Torture Rack, then threw him stomach-first to the mat and got a nearfall. The crowd rallied for Allday. Max tied Will in a Tree of Woe, rolled to the floor, and cranked back on Allday’s head.
Allday fired up and hit some punches and a flying kick, and they were both down at 7:00. Allday went to the top rope, but Max cut him off, and they fought on the ropes. Alexa hopped on the apron to distract the ref. Max immediately hit a low-blow uppercut while the ref was distracted. Max hit a top-rope superplex for a believable nearfall at 8:30. Will checked on her, but Max threw Allday into the ring post! In the ring, Max hit a swinging uranage for the tainted pin. Good action.
Max Castellanos defeated Will Allday to retain the ROW Title at 10:17.
* Alexa was selling a right elbow injury as they walked to the back… but she didn’t seem to be upset with Max.
* Backstage, someone had attacked Rhys Maddox! He was bloody and knocked out!
* Taylor interviewed “Lady Bird” Monica Monroe. Tonight is a title vs. title match! Monroe said this is the biggest match of her career. However, she noted she’s beaten ID and NXT wrestlers before, and she’s going to do it again!
9. WWE ID Women’s Champion Laynie Luck vs. ROW Women’s Champion “Lady Bird” Monica Monroe in a title versus title match. Monroe came out first. “Lady Bird has worked her entire career for this moment tonight,” a commentator said. The commentators stressed this match is “winner-take-all.” They shook hands, and they appear to be roughly the same height and overall size. A commentator said it’s been seven years since Laynie Luck competed here. Standing switches, and Monroe immediately tied up Laynie’s legs on the mat. Monroe applied a headlock, but Laynie escaped.
Monroe ducked a spin kick to the head and got a rollup for a nearfall, and I think she hit Laynie across the nose. Laynie got angry and pie-faced her at 2:30! Monroe fired up and hit some chops. Monroe hit a kick and took control. They fought to the floor, and Laynie hit a discus forearm strike. A commentator noted this is Luck’s 23rd title defense. Laynie was bleeding from her nose. Laynie tied up Monroe on the mat, and the crowd chanted “Lady Bird!” Laynie hit a snap suplex at 5:30, and she checked her nose. Monica stalled under the ropes so Laynie could clean her face a bit.
Laynie missed a double stomp on the apron. Monroe hit a dive through the ropes and barreled onto Luck! In the ring, Monroe hit some punches and a powerslam, then a Lionsault for a nearfall at 7:00. Laynie hit a fisherman’s suplex while pulling Monica off the top rope. This time, she hit the double stomp on the chest on the apron. In the ring, Laynie hit an enzuigiri for a nearfall. Monica hit a superkick and a Code Red, then a Swanton Bomb for a believable nearfall at 8:30! Laynie set up for a DVD, but Monroe got a rollup for the flash pin! New champion! It also means Monroe has earned a WWE ID contract!
“Lady Bird” Monica Monroe defeated Laynie Luck to win the WWE ID Women’s Title AND retain the ROW Women’s Title at 9:10.
* Monica held the belts above her head, and the crowd chanted, “You deserve it!”
Final Thoughts: Certainly a notable show with two wrestlers earning WWE ID contracts. Monroe has clearly been a top-tier wrestler over the past two years. I admittedly hadn’t seen Jossiah Jean in that elite category — I don’t think he’s ever made a “top three match of the night” list — but he also has been saddled as a member of House Money, and working that heel style might have limited what he can do in the ring. Regardless, I’m really happy both are getting these opportunities.
Luck-Monroe earns best match, ahead of Castellanos-Allday. Abrams vs. Tempo takes third. Just no other way to put it — these ROW shows are so much better when some WWE prospects are part of the show. Only one new face tonight, and newcomer cowgirl Presley Sloan did fine in her debut. I did a quick Google search and couldn’t find anything about her, but as I noted, she’s probably a teen. Everyone else on the show is a regular here or elsewhere on the indy scene. A solid show overall with those two notable contract offers.
