[Hour One] Joe Tessitore checked in on commentary and said it was the first time in 15 years that Raw was being broadcast from Mexico. Corey Graves eventually joined in on commentary… A video package recapped Penta winning the tournament to earn a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship…
Tessitore narrated a clip of Roman Reigns walking off a plane, and another of Penta riding a horse while surrounded by a sea of fans near the venue…
Rey Mysterio made his entrance and joined Raw General Manager Adam Pearce inside the ring. Rey wore a neck brace to sell the beating that Omos gave him at Triplemania 34 Night One. Rey spoke Spanish while welcoming the fans to Raw.
Rey told Pearce that he thought this would be a historic night. Pearce smiled, and they shook hands. Rey spoke about the live event tour and said one moment stood out. Footage aired of Stephanie Vaquer beating Liv Morgan to win the Women’s World Championship in Chile.
Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer made her entrance. Vaquer shook hands with Pearce and then bowed, shook Rey’s hand, and hugged him. Vaquer spoke in Spanish, then switched to English and said it was the joy of her life to win back the title in her home country of Chile.
Liv Morgan’s entrance music played, and she walked onto the stage with Dominik Mysterio. Morgan spoke as she and Dom walked to the ring. Morgan claimed she was screwed, and Vaquer knows it. Morgan said that she and Vaquer both know that she is the greatest Women’s World Champion of all time. Morgan said Rey was a deadbeat dad who hit a new low by hanging out with Vaquer.
Dominik Mysterio was booed loudly as he spoke. Dom said this is what a real champion looks like. Rey pointed out that Dom lost the AAA Mega Championship the night before. Footage aired of El Grande Americano beating Dom to win the title at AAA Triplemania Night Two. Dom said he and Morgan would face Rey and Vaquer in a tag team match. Pearce said Rey had a neck injury. Dom called the injury fake.
AAA El Grande Americano (Ludwig Kaiser) made his entrance and headed to the ring. Once in the ring, Americano spoke to the crowd in Spanish. Pearce booked Americano and Vaquer vs. Dom and Morgan as the opening match, and then the show went to a commercial break… [C]
