NXT has announced the following matches for the September 18 premiere of the brand’s weekly two-hour show on USA Network.

-Velveteen Dream vs. Roderick Strong for the NXT North American Championship.

-Io Shirai vs. Mia Yim vs. Bianca Belair in a Triple Threat for a shot at the NXT Women’s Championship.

Powell’s POV: While nothing is official, it seems logical that the winner of the Triple Threat challenges Shayna Baszler on the October 2 show that will run head-to-head with the AEW on TNT series premiere. It has also been announced that Baszler will face Rhea Ripley on next week’s NXT television show, which will stream on USA Network.
