-Greetings from Waterloo, Iowa and the National Wrestling Hall of Fame weekend. Today’s stops include a visit the wonderful National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum, this afternoon’s Wade Keller and Bruce Mitchell’s podcast interview with Sgt. Slaughter and tonight’s Impact Pro Wrestling show at Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center. The Hall of Fame ceremony is tomorrow night at the same venue.

-WWE is holding the Smackville live special on WWE Network on Saturday from Nashville, Tennessee at Bridgestone Arena. The one-hour special is listed as starting at 8CT/9ET and will feature Kofi Kingston vs. Samoa Joe vs. Dolph Ziggler for the WWE Championship, Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Finn Balor for the Intercontinental Championship, and a musical performance by Elias. I will be unable to cover the show live due to Hall of Fame event. Bayley vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Alexa Bliss for the Smackdown Women’s Championship is advertised in a non-televised match.

-WWE is in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at Chesapeake Energy Arena on Saturday with the following advertised matches: Seth Rollins vs. Baron Corbin in a street fight, Becky Lynch vs. Lacey Evans for the Raw Women’s Championship, AJ Styles vs. Ricochet for the U.S. Championship.

-The NJPW G1 Climax Tournament continues Saturday in Aichi at Aichi Prefectural Gymnasium with the following A-Block matches: Kazuchika Okada vs. Kenta, Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Sanada, Evil vs. Zack Sabre Jr., Will Ospreay vs. Bad Luck Fale, Kota Ibushi vs. Lance Archer.

-WWE is in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at Show Me Center on Sunday with the following advertised matches: Kofi Kingston vs. Samoa Joe vs. Dolph Ziggler in a Triple Threat for the WWE Championship, Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Finn Balor for the Intercontinental Championship, and Bayley vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Alexa Bliss for the Smackdown Women’s Championship.

-WWE is in Springfield, Missouri at JOH Arena on Sunday with the following advertised matches: Seth Rollins vs. Baron Corbin, Becky Lynch vs. Lacey Evans for the Raw Women’s Championship.

The NJPW G1 Climax Tournament continues Sunday in Aichi, Japan at Aichi Prefectural Gymnasium with the following B-Block matches: Tetsuya Naito vs. John Moxley, Shingo Takagi vs. Jay White, Jeff Cobb vs. Taichi, Juice Robinson vs. Tomohiro Ishii, Hirooki Goto vs. Toru Yano.

-The next Impact Wrestling event will be Unbreakable on August 2 in Santa Ana California at Esports Arena. Impact will also be in Los Angeles, California at Florentine Gardens on August 3, and Port Hueneme, California at Oceanview Pavilion with a television taping on August 4.

-The ROH Summer Supercard will be held on August 9 in Toronto, Ontario at Mattamy Athletic Center with Matt Taven vs. Alex Shelley for the ROH Championship.

-The next Evolve dates are Evolve 133 on August 24 in Livonia, Michigan at Monaghan Knights Of Columbus Hall, and Evolve 134 on August 25 in Chicago, Illinois at Logan Square Auditorium.

-The next AEW event is the All Out pay-per-view on August 31 in Chicago, Illinois at Sears Centre. The Young Bucks vs. Pentagon Jr. and Fenix in a ladder match, and Cody vs. Shawn Spears are among the expected matches.

-MLW’s War Chamber will be held September 7 in Dallas, Texas at NYTEX Sports Centre.

-Tommy Rich (Thomas Richardson) is 63.

-Roderick Strong (Christopher Lindsey) is 36.

-Marty Scurll is 31.

-Tessa Blanchard is 24.

-The late “Pitbull No. 2” Anthony Durante was born on July 26, 1967. He died of a heart attack at age 36 on September 25, 2003.
