Tonight’s New Japan Pro Wrestling on AXS television show features the following matches.
-Kota Ibushi vs. Tetsuya Naito for the IWGP Intercontinental Championship.
-“Guerrillas of Destiny” Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa vs. Evil and Sanada for the IWGP Tag Team Championship.
-Taichi vs. Tomohiro Ishii for the NEVER Openweight Championship.
-Minoru Suzuki and Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Jushin Thunder Liger and Yoshi-Hashi.
Powell’s POV: The Intercontinental Title match features the best and worst of both wrestlers in that it was a strong match and yet they went overboard with bumps on their head and neck. The matches were taped on June 9 in Osaka. The two-hour show airs tonight at 7CT/8ET with a replay beginning at 10CT/11ET. AXS is available on Ch. 340 on DirecTV and Ch. 167 on Dish Network, and on some cable systems.
