Impact Wrestling issued the following press release to announce their partnership with NFL Alumni, Las Vegas Chapter.

IMPACT Wrestling, a subsidiary of Anthem Sports & Entertainment Corp., and NFL Alumni, Las Vegas Chapter (“NFLALV”), are excited to announce a new partnership to advance NFLALV’s ‘Caring for Kids’ and ‘Care for our Own’ initiatives in Las Vegas, Nevada and support IMPACT Wrestling’s events in Las Vegas.

The partnership will include support by IMPACT Wrestling for fundraising initiatives directed to local charities supported by NFLALV, hosting opportunities for NFLALV-supported local charities in connection with Impact Wrestling events in Las Vegas, and participation by IMPACT Wrestling talent in NFLALV events.

To kick off this partnership, IMPACT Wrestling will participate in the Super Weekend Golf Tournament and NFL Players’ Alumni Mix ‘n Mingle Charity Silent Auction being hosted by NFLA Las Vegas on January 31 and February 1.

“The Super Weekend events are a bit of a coming out party for us,” said Linden King, president of the Las Vegas Chapter, NFL Alumni Association. “It is our first real opportunity to showcase our program, and we are thrilled to work with IMPACT Wrestling to help build our presence in Las Vegas.”

“Building a grassroots presence in the communities in which we operate is an important aspect of our business,” said Ed Nordholm, president of IMPACT Wrestling. “We welcome this opportunity to work with the Las Vegas Chapter of NFL Alumni Association as they too look to establish themselves in this community.”

Powell’s POV: Impact is taping television in Vegas on February 15-17 at Sam’s Town Casino. The venue appears to be one of the company’s regular stops for tapings and while charity work is always a positive, it is also logical to make inroads with the community.
