Jerry Lawler announced on his “Dinner With The King” podcast that he has re-signed with WWE for two more years. Lawler also stated that he will be calling the men’s Royal Rumble match along with Michael Cole and JBL. He added that Renee Young will be calling the women’s Royal Rumble match. Powell’s POV: Lawler said his deal was up on January 10 and no one from the company contacted him until he reached out to WWE executive Kevin Dunn on January 8. He said Dunn immediately reached out to him, apologized, and sent out the contract, which included a raise. Lawler said no one from All Elite Wrestling reached out to him to gauge his interest in joining the startup promotion. “I was more than happy to stay where I am,” Lawler said.

  1. I am glad Lawler is remaining with the WWE, now use him more! I really think he would make the perfect RAW GM and he is still wrestling a ton of indy shows. I do think he deserves a final Wrestlemania match or put him in a managerial role. He still can add a lot.
