The latest installment of the NWA “10 Pounds of Gold” digital series is labeled “Through These Eyes” and includes Billy Corgan looking back on the first year of his NWA ownership and announcing a “pop-up” event for January 5 in Clarksville, Tennessee. Powell’s POV: The video also showcases Nick Aldis and Jack Swagger discussing their recent title match at WrestleCade. I enjoy it when promotions slow down and put over a match after it plays out. We don’t get enough of that from WWE because they are always in a rush to move on to promoting the next big match. That said, Aldis does move on to promoting his next title defense against Brian Cage at the House of Hardcore event this weekend in Philadelphia. Given Cage’s prominent role in Impact Wrestling, I’m very curious to see how this match plays out. Meanwhile, Corgan also announced that all three titles will be defended at the Clarksville event, along with the first Crocket Cup qualifying match.
