Ring of Honor officially announced Jay Lethal vs. Cody for the ROH Championship for the Final Battle pay-per-view. The show will be held on Friday, December 14 in New York, New York at Hammerstein Ballroom. Read the official announcement at ROHwrestling.com.

Powell’s POV: Cody missed Sunday’s Global Wars event with a knee injury, but he went on to say that he while needs a scope, he expects to be able to wrestle at Final Battle and New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Wrestle Kingdom 13 on January 4. Barring a new deal, this could be one of Cody’s final dates with the company. ROH previously announced Matt Taven vs. Dalton Castle for Taven’s “real world title” for Final Battle, which will be available on pay-per-view television, FITE TV, and the HonorClub streaming service.
