Thursday’s Impact Wrestling television drew 236,000 total viewers on Pop TV, according to Showbuzzdaily.com. The number was up from the 225,000 viewers the show accumulated the previous week.

Powell’s POV: There was a lengthy delay in the NFL game that led to NBC’s viewership being way down compared to last year’s opener. As such, Impact’s first hour ran unopposed. Last year, Impact Wrestling produced 227,000 viewers for the September 7 edition that aired opposite the NFL opening game.

  1. Yeah, the “lengthy delay” had little to do with the NFL rating being way down. Anyone that thinks otherwise is just fooling themselves.
