-WWE Raw will be held tonight in Toronto, Ontario at Scotiabank Arena, which is the first of back to back WWE television events in the venue. The show features the follow-up to last week’s angle with The Shield reuniting to prevent Braun Strowman from cashing in his Money in the Bank contract. Join me for live coverage as Raw airs on USA Network tonight at 7CT/8ET.
-The WWE Smackdown crew is in Peterborough, Ontario at Peterborough Memorial Centre tonight with the following advertised matches: AJ Styles vs. Rusev for the WWE Championship, Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Jeff Hardy vs. The Miz vs. Samoa Joe for the U.S. Title.

-There is not a dark match advertised on the arena website. Last week’s advertising was for a Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman, Seth Rollins, and Finn Balor vs. Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre, Kevin Owens, and Baron Corbin. Believe it or not, WWE actually delivered an eight-man tag main event the last two weeks after going a long stretch without making good on their advertised dark main events.

-Longtime booker and pro wrestler George Scott was born on August 27, 1929. He died at age 84 on January 20, 2014.
-Luna Vachon died of a drug overdose at age 48 on August 27, 2010.
-Petey Williams turned 37 on Sunday.
-Moondog King (Edward White) died on August 26, 2005 at age 56.
-Bobby Duncum Jr. was born on August 26, 1965. He died of an overdose on January 24, 2000.
-Former TNA wrestler David Young turned 46 on Saturday.
-The late Ivan Koloff was born on August 25, 1942. He died of liver failure on February 18, 2017.
-The late Crash Holly (Michael Lockwood) was born on August 25, 1971. He took his own life on November 6, 2003 at age 32.
