The following story contains news that could serve as a potential spoiler for tonight’s WWE Smackdown Live television show. Do not read ahead if you wish to avoid all Smackdown spoilers.

Erick Rowan (Joseph Ruud) of the Bludgeon Brothers tag team suffered an arm injury during the Smackdown Tag Title match at WWE SummerSlam on Sunday. Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com reports that the fear amongst WWE talents is that Rowan suffered a bicep injury, though the severity of the injury is unknown.

Powell’s POV: The Bludgeon Brothers are scheduled to defend the Smackdown Tag Titles against New Day in a No DQ match tonight on Smackdown. If the Rowan injury is serious then there would seem to be a good chance of a title change occurring on tonight’s show. The 36 year-old Rowan was sidelined for eight months after suffering a torn rotator cuff in 2006.
