The following matches and events are advertised for tonight’s WWE Smackdown television show.

-Jeff Hardy will confront Randy Orton

-The Usos vs. Sheamus and Cesaro in a tag team tournament match.

-Lana vs. Zelina Vega.

-How will Daniel Bryan respond to The Miz attacking him last week?

Powell’s POV: The official WWE website preview also questions what’s next for Carmella and Becky Lynch heading into their Smackdown Women’s Championship match at SummerSlam, as well as teases the next chapter in the AJ Styles and Samoa Joe saga going into their WWE Championship match at SummerSlam. The winners of the Usos vs. The Bar match will advance to face New Day next week, and the winners of that match will challenge Bludgeon Brothers for the Smackdown Tag Titles at SummerSlam. Join Jake Barnett for live coverage of the show as it airs on USA Network at 7CT/8ET. I will be by after the show with an audio review, and again on Wednesday with the Smackdown Hit List.

  1. Boring. Smackdown has nothing interesting going on right now. That’s a credit to the writing team. They’ve managed to get the audience to not care about Daniel Bryan, The Miz or AJ Styles. Nice work everyone.
