-WWE Smackdown Live is in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza. The show will feature Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Jeff Hardy for the U.S. Championship and the fallout from Sunday’s WWE Extreme Rules event. Join Jake Barnett for live coverage as the show airs on USA Network at 7CT/8ET, and I will be by later tonight with my audio review and again on Wednesday with my WWE Smackdown Hit List.

-WWE’s 205 Live airs at 9CT/10ET on WWE Network. John Moore’s review will be available on Wednesday morning.

-The dark main events listed for tonight’s Smackdown taping are AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan, and Jeff Hardy vs. Shinsuke Nakamura, The Miz, and Samoa Joe, and Carmella vs. Asuka for the Smackdown Women’s Championship.

Birthdays and Notables

-Daffney (Shannon Spruill) is 43.

-Mike Knox (Mike Hettinga) is 40.

-Mojo Rawley (Dean Muhtadi) is 32.

-Lacey Von Erich (Lacey Dawn Adkisson) is 32.

-The late Edouard Carpentier (Édouard Ignacz Weiczorkiewicz) was born on July 17, 1926. He died of a heart attack at age 84 on October 30, 2010.

-Bruiser Brody (Frank Goodish) was stabbed to death at age 42 on July 17, 1988. Brody was killed in a World Wrestling Council locker room by Jose Gonzalez, who wrestled and booked for the territory.
