New Japan Pro Wrestling announced that IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Hiromu Takahashi remains hospitalized with a neck injury suffered at Saturday’s G1 Special in San Francisco. “He is currently undergoing a thorough evaluation, Takahashi is conscious, and is able to sit and talk,” reads the statement from NJPW1972.com.

Powell’s POV: Takahashi took a wicked bump on his head during his match against Dragon Lee on Saturday. He was able to continue working through the finish a short time later. Here’s wishing him the very best in what is obviously a very frightening time.
