Former NFL running back DeAngelo Williams is working with Impact Wrestling again. “I said I’d never do this again, but I’m back in the ring,” Williams states in a video posted at TMZ.com.

Powell’s POV: Williams worked a tag team match at last year’s Slammiversary and did a hell of a job in his rookie outing. He indicated after the match that his pro wrestling appearance was a one and done. My speculation at the time was that he wanted to send the message that pro wrestling wasn’t his focus because he was still attempting to land an NFL job. He didn’t make a team in 2017 and while I don’t know if he’s officially retired yet, it’s logical for him to return to the ring since his chances of being signed at his age and with a full year off seem slim. I look forward to seeing how he does the second time around.
