WWE stock soars following TV rights report

WWE stock soared to a peak of $51.33 on Thursday after closing at $43.59 on Wednesday night.

Powell’s POV: The price is down to $49.86 as of this update at 11:16 CT. The overall increase is clearly due to Hollywood Reporter’s story that Raw will nearly triple its television deal with NBCU, which WWE has yet to confirm more deny.

Update: The stock closed Thursday at $50.31.
