Shane McMahon underwent successful hernia surgery last Friday in New York, according to WWE.com. The story notes that Shane is recovering at home.
Powell’s POV: Shane was hospitalized back in March with what WWE reported was acute diverticulitis and an umbilical hernia. He somehow managed to be cleared to wrestle at WrestleMania and at the Greatest Royal Rumble before undergoing the surgery. Even Chris Jericho and Daniel Bryan had a laugh on the Talk Is Jericho podcast about Shane receiving medical clearance for WrestleMania despite his ailments. By the way, Jericho noted in the same podcast that he was the fallback plan to team with Bryan at WrestleMania if Shane was unable to wrestle.
