The following matches are advertised for WWE Backlash, which will be held on May 6 in Newark, New Jersey at the Prudential Center.
-Roman Reigns vs. Samoa Joe.
-Seth Rollins vs. The Miz for the Intercontinental Championship.
-Jeff Hardy vs. Randy Orton for the U.S. Championship.
-Nia Jax vs. Alexa Bliss for the Raw Women’s Championship.
-Carmella vs. Charlotte for the Smackdown Women’s Championship.
Powell’s POV: WWE is holding the contract signing for Carmella vs. Charlotte tonight on Smackdown. The match hasn’t been added to the official lineup yet, but it seems like a formality. For that matter, they have yet to add the Hardy vs. Orton match after previously advertising Jinder Mahal as defending the U.S. Championship against Orton before Mahal dropped the title to Hardy.
