WrestleMania weekend begins with WWE Axxess, An Evening With Paul Heyman, WaleMania, Wildkat Entertainment, Matt Riddle’s Bloodsport, Evolve 102, The WrestleCon Supershow, Beyond Wrestling

-The Impact Wrestling television show features Moose vs. Eli Drake in a match with both wrestlers competing for their respective Feast or Fired briefcases. Impact airs on Pop TV at 7CT/8ET. John Moore’s review will be available on Friday morning, and my Impact Wrestling Hit List and audio review will also be available on Friday.

-WrestleMania 34 week begins in New Orleans with a variety of events tonight. -WWE Axxess opens tonight in New Orleans at Ernest N. Morial Convention Center at 6CT with autograph signings, including the Premium VIP event with Bill Goldberg. There will also be tournament matches that will begin on this show and continue throughout the weekend for title shots at the WWE UK Championship, the NXT North American Championship, the NXT Tag Titles, and the NXT Women’s Championship.

-An Evening with Paul Heyman will be held tonight in New Orleans at Joy Theater at 9:30CT.

-WaleMania IV is at Republic NOLA at 7CT. The annual Court Bauer and Wale event includes MLW personalities and a special appearance by Mark Henry.

-GCW presents Matt Riddle’s Bloodsport event will be held at 3CT in Kenner, Louisiana at Pontchartrain Center. Most of the matches must end in knockouts or via submission and feature Matt Riddle vs. Low Ki, Nick Gage vs. Timothy Thatcher in a no ropes and no pinfalls match, Walter vs. Tom Lawlor in a no ropes and no pinfalls match, Chris Dickinson vs. Dan Severn, Dominic Garrini vs. KTB, Eddie Kingston vs. Tracy Williams, and Masada vs. Martin Stone.

-Wildkat Entertainment is at The Sugar Mill at 6CT with a show that includes Billy Gunn, Bobby Holly, Stevie Richards, Damien 66, Shane Taylor, and more.

-Evolve 102 will be held at 8CT is in Kenner, Louisiana at Pontchartrain Center with the following advertised matches: Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Matt Riddle for the Evolve Championship, Daisuke Sekimoto & Munenori Sawa vs. Timothy Thatcher and Walter, AR Fox vs. Will Ospreay, Keith Lee vs. Darby Allin, Austin Theory vs. DJZ, and a tag team scramble match.

-The WrestleCon Supershow will be held tonight at 9:30CT at The Sugar Mill with the following top matches: Jeff Cobb vs. Tomohiro Ishii, Penta OM vs. Joey Janela, plus Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi are among the advertised talent.

-Beyond Wrestling is in Kenner, Louisiana at Pontchartrain Center at 11:55CT tonight with the following advertised matches: Deonna Purrazzo vs. Matt Riddle, Toni Storm vs. Timothy Thatcher, Joey Janela and Penelope Ford vs. Session Moth Martina and Orange Cassidy, David Starr vs. Mia Yim vs. Tessa Blanchard vs. Maxwell Jacob Friedman, Thunder Rosa and Holidead vs. Chris Dickinson and Jaka.

-Monday’s WWE Raw received a majority vote of D as the letter grade with 42 percent of the vote for the second consecutive week. I agree with the voters and it’s mostly because of the approach they took by leaving fans disappointed with Undertaker failing to appear.

-Tuesday’s WWE Smackdown Live received a majority vote of C as the letter grade with 32 percent of the vote. I gave the WrestleMania go-home show a B grade.

-Dallas Page (Page Falkinburg) is 62.

-Charlotte Flair (Ashley Fliehr) is 32.

-New Zealand wrestler, trainer, and promoter Steve Rickard (Sydney “Merv” Batt) died on April 5, 2015 at age 85.
