NXT Live Event
Royal Oak, Michigan at Royal Oak Music Theatre
Report by Dot Net reader Mark Piepsney

A sold out crowd for NXT’s first show in Michigan since January of 2016.

1. Lars Sullivan defeated Kassius Ohno with a top rope headbutt. Solid opener in which Ohno carried most of the offense.

2. Dakota Kai defeated Lacey Evans with a double stomp off the top rope. Shayna Bazler attacked Dakota after the match.

3. Angelo Dawkins defeated Cezar Bononi (w/Adrian Jauode) with a popup powerbomb.

4. Adam Cole defeated Chris (Donovan) Dijak with a shining wizard in a competitive match.

5. Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly defeated Heavy Machinery to retain the NXT Tag Titles. Fish and O’Reilly won with a rollup after outside interference by Adam Cole. The Undisputed Era were beat up in the ring afterwards when Lars Sullivan would not allow them to return to the backstage area.

6. Shayna Bazler defeated Kairi Sane by DQ when Dakota Kai interfered.

7. Aleister Black defeated The Velveteen Dream with Fade to Black. Match of the night as these two have great ring chemistry.

8. Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae defeated Andrade “Cien” Almas and Zelina Vega in the main event with dueling Gargano Escape submissions.
