The National Wrestling Alliance released a new video in which Billy Corgan addresses the “Aldis Crusade” that will feature Nick Aldis defending the NWA Championship over 20 times in just over 60 days. Watch the video below or at the NWA Youtube Page.
Powell’s POV: The idea is that Aldis and his manager Austin Idol lined up the series of matches, but Corgan ordered Aldis to face Tommy Dreamer at the March 24 House of Hardcore event at 2300 Arena. It’s the most high profile NWA Title defense since Corgan purchased the brand and the atmosphere should be great with Dreamer challenging for the title on his home turf. It’s also cool to see the NWA expanding from a talent standpoint with Aldis defending the championship while Tim Storm and Jocephus have their own issues away from the title.
