WWE 205 Live general manager and WWE Cruiserweight Championship update

By Jason Powell, Prowrestling.net Editor (@prowrestlingnet)

Drake Maverick was introduced as the new general manager of WWE 205 Live on Tuesday. Maverick, who worked as Rockstar Spud prior to his WWE run, announced that there will be a 16-man tournament to crown the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion. The tournament final will be held at WrestleMania.

Powell’s POV: Maverick is a great talker and a fun choice for the GM position. Allow me to fantasy book and/or daydream for a second, but with Maverick being a native Englishman, it would be really fun if his character ended up leading a UK Division takeover of the show. John Moore’s full review of 205 Live will be available on Wednesday morning.
