Samoa Joe suffered an undisclosed injury that will keep him out of the WWE Mixed Match Challenge. Kurt Angle made the announcement via social media.
Powell’s POV: There’s no word as to the nature of Joe’s injury, which Angle stated he suffered on Raw, presumably during his match against Rhyno. Joe was listed with Elias and Jason Jordan as fan vote options to determine Bayley’s partner in the Mixed Match Challenge. Joe won the fan vote, but Angle announced that Joe was no longer eligible due to the injury, and second place finisher Elias will team with Bayley.
