-Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s latest film Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is projected to have a $62.3 million four-day opening weekend.

-John Cena’s Ferdinand is projected to earn $9.1 million this weekend, which would bring its two-week total to $28.6 million.

Powell’s POV: The figures come from a Deadline.com story, which labels Jumanji as a “solid piece of family counter-programming” to the Star Wars: Last Jedi movie that is projected to make $409.2 million after just two weeks. In terms of critical reaction, both films are doing well with Rottentomatoes.com. Jumanji received a positive review from 77 percent of critics, while Ferdinand received a thumbs up from 71 percent of critics.
