WWE is running tonight’s Raw and Tuesday’s Smackdown taping at Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado. The company has now announced dark main events for both shows. The Raw show will feature Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins for the WWE Universal Championship, and Roman Reigns vs. Rusev for the U.S. Championship. The Smackdown dark main event will be Randy Orton and Dean Ambrose vs. AJ Styles and Bray Wyatt. [Thanks to Dot Net reader Jeffrey]
Powell’s POV: We received a report that one of the local radio stations gave away free tickets. It wasn’t a typical contest giveaway, but rather the station gave away “hundreds of tickets.” Thus, the dark main event announcements may be the company’s last ditch effort to move tickets.
