1. Oney Lorcan pinned Wesley Blake.

2. Rich Swann and No Way Jose beat Drew Gulak and Tony Nese in a Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic first round match.

3. Bobby Roode over Sean Maluta. Afterwards, Bobby Roode vs. Tye Dillinger was made official for Takeover Toronto, and Roode cut a promo on Dillinger. Dillinger ran out and the two brawled before Roode took off.

Liv Morgan was cutting a promo when she was jumped by Billie Kay and Peyton Royce, who wanted to put all of the other NXT women on notice.

4. Austin Aries and Roderick Strong defeated Tucker Knight and Otis Bogojevic in a Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic first round match. Tucker and Otis were a very fun pair, but the debuting Strong got the win for his team with the Gut Check and Sick Kick combo.

5. Danielle Kamela technically defeated Nikki Cross via reverse-decision DQ. Cross initially won the match, but afterwards she attacked Kamela so relentlessly that the decision was overturned and awarded to Kamela.

NXT Champion Shinsuke Nakamura was out for a promo on Samoa Joe when he was interrupted by Patrick Clark. He quickly disposed of Clark, but then Joe came out. He avoided entering the ring and had a stare-down with Nakamura from ringside.

6. Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa beat Ho Ho Lun and Tian Bing in a Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic first round match.

7. Aliyah rolled up Billie Kay for the win. Liv Morgan assisted in the win by brawling with Peyton Royce at ringside which distracted Kay. Afterwards, Kay and Royce left Aliyah and Morgan laying.

8. WWE Cruiserweight Champion TJ Perkins and Kota Ibushi over Lince Dorado and Mustafa Ali in a Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic first round match.

9. Asuka beat Thea Trinidad. Afterwards, GM William Regal came out and with help from a video message on the screen, announced Asuka vs. Mickie James for Takeover Toronto.

10. Tye Dillinger pinned Noah Potjes.

11. Ember Moon defeated Rachael Evers.

It was supposed to be Gargano and Ciampa vs. The Revival in a Dusty Classic second round match, but Scott Dawson pretended to have a knee injury and The Revival forfeited on “doctor’s advise.” Then the Authors of Pain came out and brawled with Gargano and Ciampa before the babyfaces cleared them from the ring.

12. Elias Samson over Nathan Cruz. This marked the return of The Drifter from his injury.

13. Liv Morgan defeated Peyton Royce by DQ when Billie Kay interfered. Aliyah tried to even things up, but she got beat down as well. Finally, Ember Moon hit the ring and took out Billie and Peyton single-handedly.

14. Andrade Almas beat Cedric Alexander.

The contract signing for the NXT title match in Toronto took place. Everything was set up in the ring, but Samoa Joe came out and set up his own table a safe distance away on the stage. They each signed the contract without issue before Nakamura decided to attack all of the security guards separating Joe and himself. Nakamura power bombed the final guard through the table and stared Joe down intensely.

15. Sanity defeated Kota Ibushi and TJ Perkins in a Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic second round match. In a presumably dark segment afterwards, Sanity came back down to the ring to attack Ibushi and Perkins when Shinsuke Nakamura ran out to make the save and took out all the members of Sanity.
