Logo_WWE_dnTMZ reports that Eva Marie received a 30-day suspension from WWE for testing positive for Adderall, while adding that sources close to her claim she has a prescription for the drug. “I am disappointed that this suspension has occurred, yet understand and respect that WWE upholds their Wellness Policy to the letter and won’t compromise on its integrity,” Eva told TMZ.com. “I violated policy by not turning in portions of required paperwork in the time frame WWE Medical deemed timely. I look forward to my return!”

Powell’s POV: Eva was given a 30-day suspension for her first Wellness Policy violation on Thursday. The TMZ story states that she intends to appeal the suspension, but I don’t think she has much of a case given that she admitted fault by stating that she failed to provide proper documentation.

  1. If that’s true, it’s unfortunate. I wonder exactly what WWE’s time standards say. If it’s something reasonable—say, fourteen or thirty days—then this begins to look like a simple case of someone suffering serious consequences because they were disorganized. It happens to many, many people in different contexts.
