-The WWE Smackdown television taping for Thursday’s television show will be held tonight in Memphis, Tennessee at the FedEx Forum. WWE is advertising Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, Bray Wyatt, Kevin Owens, Dolph Ziggler, Alberto Del Rio, Chris Jericho, Braun Strowman, and Luke Harper.

-TNA Impact airs on Pop TV tonight at 8:00 p.m. CT. The featured match is a Hardcore War with James Storm, Bobby Roode, Davey Richards, and Eddie Edwards vs. Eric Young, Bram, Crazzy Steve, and Abyss. Join me for live coverage of Impact as the show airs on Pop TV tonight. John Moore will be by on Tuesday with the TNA Impact Wrestling Hit List. Pop TV can be found on DirecTV channel 273, and on Dish Network’s channel 117. Check the Pop TV website if you are trying to find the show on another platform.

-The dark main event of Smackdown is advertised as Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose vs. Alberto Del Rio and Kevin Owens.

-The WWE segment on ESPNews is scheduled to air during the 8:00 p.m. CT hour. Former WWE broadcast team member Jonathan Coachman hosts SportsCenter and runs through several “moments of the week” clips from Raw before conducting an interview with a WWE wrestler. They did not advertise a guest on Raw, nor has Coachman offered any indication as of last check on his Twitter page.

-The third week of Total Divas airs tonight on E! at 8:00 p.m. CT. The ads for the show have focussed on Amanda from Tough Enough joining the cast.

Birthdays and Notables

-Genichiro Tenryu (a/k/a Genichiro Shimada) is 66 today. I still wish I knew why he was advertised on the program for the first AWA show I attended. He did not appear, nor do I recall him appearing on television around that time.

-Teddy Hart (a/k/a Ted Annis) is 36 today.

-Brian Cage (a/k/a Brian Button) is 32 today.

-Gino Hernandez (a/k/a Charles Wolfe Jr.) died on February 2, 1986 at age 28. His death was ruled an accidental cocaine overdose.
