-WWE Smackdown moves to USA Network tonight. The show includes the debut of Mauro Ranallo as the new play-by-play voice and he is joined by color commentators Jerry Lawler and Byron Saxton. Smackdown is headlined by Dean Ambrose vs. Kevin Owens for the Intercontinental Title, and has Charlotte vs. Becky Lynch for the Divas Championship. Join Jake Barnett for live coverage as the show airs tonight on USA Network at 7:00 p.m. CT.

-NXT is holding its first television taping of the new year tonight at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida.

-TNA is taping television tonight in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania at Sands Bethlehem Event Center tonight through Saturday. Friday’s show will be a live “One Night Only” series pay-per-view.

-Bronko Nagurski died at age 81 on January 7, 1990.

-Gary Albright died in the ring of a heart attack at age 36 on January 7, 2000.

-Tim Roberts died of unknown causes at age 38 on January 7, 2015. He appeared as The Zombie on WWE’s version of ECW’s premiere on Syfy.
