Kenny Omega announced that he intends to re-sign with New Japan Pro Wrestling during an appearance on WrestlingObserver.com Radio. Omega noted that he had not officially re-signed yet, but that he hopes to do so.
Powell’s POV: It seemed likely that Omega would re-sign with the company, and many people believed he played up the mystery to keep his name in the news coming out of the Wrestle Kingdom 11 main event. If so, he did a good job of it and more power to him. John Cena played into the mystery, and Seth Rollins was featured in a WWE video (that was eventually pulled) stating that he hoped Omega would be in the Royal Rumble match.
