WWE Live Event
Roanoke, Virginia at Berglund Center
Report by Dot Net reader Johnny Fairplay

There were roughly 4,000 in attendance.

1. “New Day” Big E and Xavier Woods (w/Kofi Kingston) defeated “Sanity” Killian Dain and Alexander Wolfe. Xavier with the pin. Kofi took the mic afterward and said it was the best two months of his career and he was going to win at WrestleMania.

2. Carmella over Zelina Vega. Carmella won via tap out.

3. Rowan pinned Ali. Rowan attacked Ali after the match, and Kevin Owens made the save.

4. The Usos defeated Sheamus & Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura & Rusev in a Triple Threat to retain the Smackdown Tag Titles. The Usos won with double superkick.

Intermission

5. Naomi and Asuka beat Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville. Asuka won via submission on Deville.

6. Samoa Joe defeated Jeff Hardy and Andrade in a Triple Threat to retain the U.S. Title. Joe pinned Andrade.

7. AJ Styles defeated Randy Orton. AJ gave me a hug to before the match started, then sang happy birthday to Randy. Randy danced to AJ’s music before the match. I think we got the rehearsal for their WrestleMania match and it was really good!

Notes: I’ve been to too many house shows the week of WrestleMania as they usually hit this area the same time every year. This is the hardest I’ve ever seen the wrestlers work. Kudos for not phoning it in.
