1. Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Yuji Nagata, Satoshi Kojima, and Manabu Nakanishi beat Yota Tsuji, Ren Narita, Shota Umino, and Tomoaki Honma.

2. Mikey Nicholls, Michael Elgin, and Juice Robinson beat Chase Owens, Bad Luck Fale, and Hikuleo.

3. Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Lance Archer defeated Togi Makabe and Toa Henare.

4. Tetsuya Naito and Shingo Takagi beat Hirooki Goto and Yoh.

5. Evil, Sanada, and Bushi defeated Minoru Suzuki, Taka Michinoku, and Taichi.

6. Tomohiro Ishii, Toru Yano, and Will Ospreay defeated Kazuchika Okada, Colt Cabana, and Yoshi-Hashi.

7. Hiroshi Tanahashi defeated Ryusuke Taguchi in a New Japan Cup tournament second round match.

8. Zack Sabre Jr. defeated Kota Ibushi in a New Japan Cup tournament second round match.

Powell’s POV: The tournament continues on Sunday in Tokyo with the following second round matches: Toru Yano vs. Colt Cabana and Minoru Suzuki vs. Sanada. The winner of the tournament will challenge Jay White for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship on April 6 at the G1 Supercard in New York at Madison Square Garden.
