Powell’s POV: MLW announced the heavyweight and middleweight championship matches since our last update. The concept for the Spin the Wheel match is that the wheel containing a bunch of gimmick matches will be spun prior to the match and they will work whichever type match it stops on. The options for the match are chain match, body bag match, coal miner’s glove match, first blood match, Prince of Darkness match, Spinner’s Choice, death match, cage match, I Quit match, and a dog collar match. The concept was used in the early ’90s in WCW and came off corny (as did a lot of things in WCW at that time), but I have no doubt that Havoc and Callihan will make it work.
MLW has also announced that there will be an MLW Title match on the card. This event will be taped for the Fusion television series that airs Fridays at 7CT/8ET on beIN Sports. We are looking for reports on this event. If you attend the show, you are encouraged to send a report or basic results to dotnetjason@gmail.com.
