Steve Austin explains why he did not appear at WrestleMania and comments on his relationship with WWE

Steve Austin addressed the status of his relationship with WWE during the latest “Steve Austin Show” podcast. Austin noted that he recently sold his ranch in Texas, and the timing of the sale and everything that came with it conflicted with WrestleMania weekend. “I had a lot of irons in the fire,” Austin said.

Austin added that the company reached out and invited him to WrestleMania. Austin said he appreciated the invitation and informed the person who extended it that he was tied up with the ranch sale and the need to remove his belongings from the property within a 30-day window of the sale.

“I will always be a part of the WWE,” said Austin. “The WWE will always be a part of my life. Man, I’m in this thing for the rest of my life. That’s the relationship I have with the WWE. So there’s never been no heat, no this, no that, no whatever. I’m at a great place with those guys and I’m thankful for everything they’ve done for me, I’m sure they are thankful for the things I did for them. Again, I’m a WWE member for life.” Listen to the full show at PodcastOne.com.

Powell’s POV: Austin also noted that he retained the rights to the “Broken Skull Ranch” name and said there will eventually be another ranch of the same name at a location to be determined. Austin explained that it simply became too much to live in Los Angeles and travel 1,500 miles back and forth from the ranch. By the way, one can only hope that the Stone Cold Podcast will eventually return to WWE Network.

    • He was pulled, replaced by Foley then JBL then Graves and now JR is rehired… methinks SC and Vince are ‘taking a break’ again
