Reality of Wrestling “Glory 15 & The Sherri Martel Classic”
Texas City, Texas, at Walker Texas Lawyer Arena
Streamed live on October, 24, 2026, on the Reality of Wrestling YouTube Channel

This aired live and free on their YouTube channel. Lighting is always really good here, but it drives me nuts that they don’t use on-screen graphics. The crowd was maybe 300. Kirby Carrion and Sammy provided commentary. Monica Monroe joined them for the main event.

* I reviewed last year’s tournament, too. This women’s tournament features six first-round matches, two three-way semifinal matches, and the finals. I saw the brackets earlier in the week, and it showed one name I didn’t know and a young woman who debuted last month. OH, the bracket was on the screen as the show started!

1. Cappuccino Jones vs. Nasir Dey for the ROW Texas Title. Cap has fully turned into a 2000s-era Human Tornado. Fast reversals at the bell, and they traded some quick rollups. Cap did the splits to avoid a clothesline (isn’t there an easier way to avoid one?) Dey hit a mule kick from his back. Cap hit a dropkick. Dey snapped Cap’s throat over the top rope at 2:30, and he took control. He hit a basement dropkick and got a nearfall. He planted his knee in Cap’s spine and kept Jones grounded.

Cap nailed a half-and-half nelson suplex at 4:30, then a leg lariat. He hit a top-rope crossbody block for a nearfall. Dey got a flash rollup, then a superkick and a second-rope flying DDT for a nearfall. Dey dove through the ropes onto Jones at 7:00. In the ring, Jones hit a punch, the Decaffinator swinging neckbreaker, then the Froggy Brew flying elbow drop for the pin. Fun match.

Cappuccino Jones defeated Nasir Dey to retain the ROW Texas Title at 7:28.

* Backstage, Taylor interviewed Vin Park, who was admiring himself in a handheld mirror. He is ready for Jesse Funaki tonight, and he vowed to take the Legacy Title. He has a new cologne! (Is it Rick Martel’s sweet smell of arrogance?)

2. Jesse Funaki vs. Vin Park for the ROW Legacy Title. Again, Vin is known as Vin Parker in Rhodes Wrestling Association; I don’t get why he has two nearly identical names. An intense lockup to open; they are the same height, but Vin appears to have a muscle mass advantage. He dropped Funaki with a shoulder tackle. Funaki mockingly patted him on the top of his head, then Jesse hit a dropkick for a nearfall. Jesse hit some chops in the corner and was in control early on. Funaki went to the second rope, but Vin pushed him over the ropes to the floor at 3:00. Vin followed, and they brawled at ringside.

Park pushed him back into the ring and got a nearfall, then he applied a chinlock on the mat. Funaki hit a Sling Blade, and they were both down at 5:00. They got up and traded punches. Funaki hit a dropkick that sent Vin from the apron to the floor. Jesse then hit a flip dive over the ropes to the floor onto Vin. In the ring, Funaki hit a second-rope tornado DDT for a nearfall. Vin hit a powerslam, then a Northern Lights Suplex, then a fisherman’s suplex for a nearfall! Vin grabbed his handheld mirror, but Sho hit a dropkick and a flying knee to the sternum for the pin. Good action.

Jesse Funaki defeated Vin Park to retain the ROW Legacy Title at 7:58.

* In the locker room, Blake Troop approached Buck Gator and seemed surprised (and disappointed?) that Buck has a singles match tonight. (Maybe Blake likes teaming with Buck more than he wants to admit?)

3. Will Austin vs. Buck Gator. Austin slapped him across the face at the bell, so Buck slapped him back. Buck slammed Austin’s knee into the canvas and hit a sideslam for a nearfall. Austin hit a top-rope double stomp onto Buck’s left arm. He threw Buck shoulder-first into the corner and got a nearfall at 2:00. Buck hit a second-rope crossbody block and some clotheslines, then an Angle Slam for a nearfall. (The commentators called it an “Everglades Slam.”) Austin hit a second-rope fadeaway stunner out of nowhere for the pin!

Will Austin defeated Buck Gator at 4:21.

* Sherilyn Guerrero was backstage; she’s the host of the Sherri Martel Classic. “Lady Bird” Monica Monroe was there, too. Lady Bird is relinquishing her ROW Women’s title, and it will go to the winner of the tournament!

4. Jazmin Allure vs. Kalientita in a Sherri Martel Classic first-round match. Kali is a babyface (I believe she’s in her early 20s, but she looks 16), and she’s competed in nearby New Texas Pro. They locked up and appear to be the same height. Kali hit a shotgun dropkick, and she ran up Jazmin’s chest in the corner and hit a buttbump to Jazmin’s face. Allure snapped Kali’s throat across the ropes, and she planted her foot in Kali’s neck, then hit a dropkick for a nearfall at 2:00. Allure hit a clothesline for a nearfall. Kali hit a facebuster move across a knee and got a nearfall. Allure kicked her in the face and hit a swinging neckbreaker for the decisive win. I enjoyed that.

Jazmin Allure defeated Kalientita at 3:51 to advance to the semifinals.

* Mia Friday, the Glory Women’s champion, spoke backstage to Avery. Mia is confident as she enters this year’s tournament, and she vowed to win it.

5. Aniyah Nyx vs. Mia Friday in a Sherri Martel Classic first-round match. My first time seeing Nyx. She wore black and jawed at the crowd, and she’s clearly quite young. Mia wore her Glory Title over her shoulder. They have similar looks and similar hairstyles. Basic reversals early on. Mia tied her in a rowboat submission hold. Nyx hit a Russian leg sweep for a nearfall at 3:00, and she jawed at the ref. Nyx went for a crossface, but Mia rolled her over and got a nearfall. Mia hit a stunner off the ropes for the pin out of nowhere; Nyx had dominated until that move!

Mia Friday defeated Aniyah Nyx at 4:08 to advance to the semifinals.

* Layla Diggs was interviewed backstage about her tournament match.

6. Simone vs. Presley Sloan in a Sherri Martel Classic first-round match. Presley is a cowgirl in a wide black hat; she debuted on last month’s ROW show. She is also likely still a teen. I’ve seen Simone in Future Stars of Wrestling in Las Vegas and United Wrestling Network in California; she’s white with reddish hair halfway down her back, and she has a visible strength advantage over the petite Presley. Standing switches to open, and Sloan tried a headlock. Simone hit a hard kick to the gut.

Presley hit some armdrags. Simone hit a snap suplex for a nearfall at 2:30. Presley got a backslide for a nearfall! Presley checked her nose to see if she was okay; Simone didn’t care and landed some kicks to the ribs and stomped on the youngster in the corner. Presley hit some clotheslines, and she slammed Simone face-first for a nearfall at 5:00! Simone hit an Angel’s Wings faceplant for the pin. Decent. No surprises so far.

Simone defeated Presley Sloan at 5:27 to advance to the semifinals.

7. Mystii Marks vs. Layla Diggs in a Sherri Martel Classic first-round match. Marks was a late replacement for Kaylia Capri. Marks stomped on Layla, and they traded punches. She choked Diggs in the ropes and kept her grounded. Layla fired up and hit some leaping sidekicks, then a jumping knee in the corner and a Dragon Suplex for a nearfall at 3:00. Marks hit a flapjack, slamming Diggs face-first for a nearfall. Diggs got a rollup, flipped her whole body over for added leverage, and scored the flash pin. Like many of the other tournament matches, that finish came out of nowhere.

Layla Diggs defeated Mystii Marks at 4:27 to advance.

8. Rachel Ley vs. Ruthie Jay in a Sherri Martel Classic first-round match. Ley was on AEW again on Wednesday, appearing with Andrade El Idolo. Ruthie, like Ley, has competed all over the U.S. in the past year. This should be the best first-round match. Standing switches to open. Ruthie backed her into a corner and hit a loud chop! Ley hit a double backflip-into-a-back elbow in the corner at 2:00. She hit a flipping guillotine leg drop for a nearfall. Ruthie hit an X-Factor for a nearfall.

Ruthie kept Rachel grounded and planted a foot in her spine. They traded rollups for nearfalls. Rachel hit some clotheslines and an enzuigiri, then a handspring-into-a-splash in the corner. Rachel hit a superkick, then a Decaffinator-style swinging neckbreaker. She applied a crossface in the center of the ring, and Ruthie tapped out. By far the best match of the tournament thus far.

Rachel Ley defeated Ruthie Jay at 6:19 to advance to the semifinals.

* Backstage, Jazmyne Hao spoke about facing Brittnie Brooks tonight. This is her ROW debut; I’ve seen her a few times in the New England area and along the East Coast.

9. Jazmyne Hao vs. Brittnie Brooks in a Sherri Martel Classic first-round match. Brooks wore her new sparkly blue-and-white gear she’s used recently, rather than her Barbie pink. A clean lockup to open; Brittnie applied a headlock, and she barked at the crowd. Brooks hit some European Uppercuts. Hao hit some spin kicks to Brittnie’s thighs, then a rolling cannonball for a nearfall at 2:00. (I don’t know if Hao has been injured, but her Cagematch.net bio says she hasn’t wrestled since July, and has just 15 matches this year after 32 last year.)

Brittnie hit a suplex and again jawed at the crowd, shouting that she’s “the center of attention.” She again slammed Hao. They got up and traded forearm strikes. Hao slammed Brittnie’s face over her knee, and she hit a Helluva Kick at 5:00, then a senton for a nearfall. Brooks caught her and hit the “It’s Brittnie Bitch!” (Eye of the Hurricane) for the pin. The commentators called it “The Brittnie Bomb.” No upsets in the first round!

Brittnie Brooks defeated Jazmyne Hao at 5:37 to advance.

* Erik Lockhart entered the building and was annoyed that he was asked to sign in. Mystii Marks walked up to the GM, but she said Marks needed to take any issues she had to Sherilyn Guerrero.

10. Simone vs. Mia Friday vs. Jazmin Allure in a semifinal match. Mia and Simone traded standing switches. Mia hit a double armdrag move on both opponents. Simone pulled Mia face-first into the middle turnbuckle and stomped on Friday. Simone hit a snap suplex on Mia for a nearfall at 2:00. Allure pulled Simone to the floor, then she got in the ring, mounted Mia, and hit some punches.

Mia hit a top-rope crossbody block onto both opponents at 4:00, then she hit clotheslines on each, and she got a nearfall on Jazmin. Simone tied Mia in a cross-armbreaker, but Jazmin hit a senton to make the save. Jazmin hit a stunner on Mia for a nearfall at 5:30. Simone hit a Dragon Suplex on Jazmin for a nearfall, but Mia made the save! Mia hit a Cradle Shock on Simone. However, Jazmin grabbed Mia, rolled her up, and got the flash pin! Nice!

Jazmin Allure defeated Simone and Mia Friday at 6:36 to advance to the finals.

* Brittnie Brooks was interviewed backstage. She was selling pain in her neck. She was confident that she would win and face Jazmin in the finals. (I presume she doesn’t win because then you would have a heel-heel matchup in the finals.)

11. Brittnie Brooks vs. Rachel Ley vs. Layla Diggs in a semifinal match. This should be the match of the show. Brooks and Ley recently teamed six times in Mexico, and they both were in a women’s Rumble match, but this might be the first time they locked up. Brittnie threw Rachel face-first onto a turnbuckle. Ley hit a huracanrana on Brooks. She tried a huracanrana on Layla, but Diggs rotated and landed on her feet.

Brooks hit a drop-toe-hold to slam Ley’s face into the middle turnbuckle at 2:00, and she stomped on Rachel. Brooks applied a top hammerlock on Ley. She hit a kick to the side of Ley’s face, and she hit a slingshot elbow drop for a nearfall at 4:30. Diggs hit a top-rope crossbody block on both women. Layla hit some big leg lariats on each opponent, then she slammed Brittnie face-first and hit a Shining Wizard.

Brooks rolled Diggs up for a nearfall. Diggs hit a Pele Kick on Brittnie for a nearfall. They all got up onto their knees and traded forearm strikes. They got to their feet and traded chops. Brooks set up for the It’s Brittnie Bitch, but Ley escaped and hit a facebuster across her knees. Ley hit her top-rope flipping splash onto Brooks for the pin! Really fun action.

Rachel Ley defeated Brittnie Brooks and Layla Diggs at 7:00 to advance to the finals.

* Backstage, Jossiah Jean was interviewed. He spoke about joining the WWE ID program. He’s facing Chandler Hopkins tonight. He told AJ Francis to “come find me.”

12. Jossiah Jean vs. Chandler Hopkins. Again, the cowboy Hopkins looks a lot like Jay White. An intense lockup to open, and they twisted each other’s left arm. Jean hit a spinebuster for a nearfall at 1:00. Hopkins tied him up on the mat, then hit some chops in the corner. Jean hit a running, twisting splash to the mat for a nearfall at 3:30. Chandler hit a chop block to the back of the knee, and he slammed Jean and got a nearfall. Jean hit a flying forearm strike into the corner. Jean hit a TKO stunner for the pin!

Jossiah Jean defeated Chandler Hopkins at 5:01.

* AJ Francis ran into the ring and attacked Jean from behind. He hit the Down Payment chokeslam and stormed to the back.

* Sherilyn Guerrero came to the ring. Again, she was the host of this tournament. She noted she comes from a “wrestling royalty family.” Mystii Marks stormed to the ring, still upset about being a late fill-in. “I’ve been looking for you all night,” Marks said. She said Guerrero was the problem. She slapped Sherilyn and stomped on her! “She’s just here to host! What are you doing!” a commentator shouted. Marks scooped her up and hit a sit-out slam. Marks left. Guerrero got up and got on the mic. She challenged Marks to a match on Nov. 14.

* The belt was brought to the ring! Monica Monroe joined the commentary booth.

13. Rachel Ley vs. Jazmin Allure in the finals of the Sherri Martel Classic. A clean lockup, and Monica talked about the challenges of wrestling three matches in less than two hours. Jazmin tied up Ley on the mat. Allure grabbed Ley’s hair and yanked her to the mat. Jazmin stomped on Ley in the corner at 2:30 and kept her tied up on the canvas. She pulled on Ley’s hair around the top rope. She dropped Ley face-first on the middle turnbuckle at 4:30. Jazmin hit a Rude Awakening for a nearfall. Ley hit a second-rope superplex, and they were both down at 6:00, and the crowd chanted, “Rachel!”

Ley hit some clotheslines and an enzuigiri, then her cartwheel-into-a-clothesline, then a Lungblower to the chest for a nearfall. Jazmin hit a stunner for a nearfall at 8:00. She applied a crossface, but Ley reached the ropes. Ley hit an X-Factor faceplant for a nearfall. Ley nailed a top-rope moonsault, but Allure rolled to the floor to avoid being pinned. (Monica said it was a dirty tactic, but that seems logical to me!) In the ring, Ley hit a superkick. Jazmin hit a swinging neckbreaker for the clean pin!

Jazmin Allure defeated Rachel Ley at 9:52 to win the Sherri Martel Classic and win the vacant ROW Women’s Title.

Final Thoughts: I thoroughly enjoyed this tournament. The six first-round matches were short and crisp; the newcomers all had decent showings, and nothing overstayed its welcome. Yes, the outcomes of those first-round matches were all a foregone conclusion. As I glanced at the brackets, I presumed Mia Friday was winning the tournament, so I figured she would beat a heel Brittnie Brooks in the finals. But this worked too, and I’m glad that Allure won clean — even a heel needs to win without cheating sometimes.

I’ll go with Brooks-Ley-Diggs for best, Ley-Allure for second, and Ley-Ruthie Jay for third. The other semifinal takes honorable mention. The four men’s matches were all fine but nothing must-see, either.

One good question — why did Erik Lockhart show up in the middle of the show? He didn’t have a match. I know it was part of the setup of Mystii Marks being angry with her placement in the tournament, but it really didn’t make much sense.

I would have arranged the show slightly differently. The six first-round matches should have kicked off the show, then had two men’s matches, then the two women’s semifinals, then two more men’s matches, then the women’s finals.
