GCW “Shotzi Blackheart’s Drive-In From Hell”
October 25, 2026, in Grindstone, Pennsylvania, and Brownsville Drive-In
Streamed live on TrillerTV+
Veda Scott and John Moseley provided commentary. There were small fires in pots, as well as spooky displays, as the wrestlers came to the ring. A very festive atmosphere.
* Yes, this was an outdoor show with a 3 p.m. start time. The crowd was maybe 250, and it was sunny as the show began. (It feels to me like an outdoor show in late October is a bad idea, but the weather was good.) Google Maps shows that Grindstone is located about a 70-minute drive south of Pittsburgh. Veda noted this drive-in is still operating, and a movie would be shown later in the evening.
1. Blizzy Blake vs. Felix Koz vs. Kavron Kanyon vs. Zack Thomas vs. Beck Reeves. Kanyon is a bit heavyset, and he’s now appeared on perhaps five GCW shows. Everyone else is either making their debut here or has been on just one or two shows. I don’t know who is who well enough to describe this action. Kanyon hit a top-rope Blockbuster at 3:00. Blizzy (a marijuana gimmick wrestler) and another guy hit coast-to-coast dropkicks. Kanyon nailed a superkick. Even with commentators saying some names, I still have no idea who everyone is. It was sunny and just hard to see some faces. Kanyon set up for a package piledriver but hit a hard knee strike for the pin.
Kavron Kanyon defeated Blizzy Blake, Felix Koz, Zack Thomas, and Beck Reeves at 8:46.
2. Juni Underwood vs. Leon King. I don’t think I’ve seen Leon before; he’s flamboyant and wore pink. He’s described as “Boy Barbie.” Moseley reminded us that Leon wrestled on the Nebraska show at the end of July. Leon bit Juni’s hand, then hit a superkick for a nearfall. Juni hit a DDT for a nearfall at 2:00. They traded overhand chops, and King hit a Lungblower to the back for a nearfall. Juni fired up and hit a series of chops and a Mafia Kick at 4:30, then a pop-up powerbomb for a nearfall. He hit a running kick to the back of the head for a nearfall.
Leon hit a Flatliner into the middle turnbuckle, then a running headbutt. Juni got a rollup. They traded rollups. King came off the ropes, but Juni caught him with a flying kick at 8:00. Juni immediately hit the Mike Bailey-style Flamingo Driver for the pin. That topped my expectations. (Again, Bailey hasn’t used that in AEW, as it’s too similar to a One-Winged Angel.)
Juni Underwood defeated Leon King at 8:26.
3. “Bustah & The Brain” Alec Price and Jordan Oliver vs. “The Legion of Rot” Hallowicked and Frightmare (w/Ultramantis Black). Jordan and (the much shorter) Frightmare opened. They locked up, and Veda noted the vast height advantage for Oliver. Frightmare got on Hallowicked’s shoulders to even out the height, but Jordan hit a dropkick at 1:30. The LoR began working over Price. Jordan tagged back in and assisted Price in hitting a flip. Oliver nailed a Mafia Kick on Frightmare for a nearfall at 4:00.
The LoR hit a German Suplex on Oliver for a nearfall. Hallowicked hit some shoulder thrusts to Oliver’s ribs in the corner, and he flipped Jordan to the mat for a nearfall at 5:30. Frightmare hit a standing moonsault for a nearfall. Price got a hot tag and hit some clotheslines. He hit a running crossbody block on Hallowicked at 7:30. B&tB hit stereo kicks in the corner. Hallowicked dove through the ropes onto Price, and they both crashed onto the grass.
In the ring, the LoR worked over Alec, but Oliver made the save. Oliver hit a faceplant on Frightmare, and Price hit a DDT. Price hit a dive to the floor on Hallowicked and Ultramantis Black. Meanwhile in the ring, Jordan slammed Frightmare face-first to the mat. Price hit a frog splash for the pin. Good action.
“Bustah & The Brain” Alec Price and Jordan Oliver defeated “The Legion of Rot” Hallowicked and Frightmare at 10:30.
4. Vipress vs. Dani Mo for the GCW Ultraviolent Title. I generally skip the ultraviolent matches, but I’m a big fan of Dani Mo, who I always compare to Sol Ruca. They immediately brawled at the bell, and Dani hit a running knee to the chin, then a handstand Vader Bomb for a nearfall at 1:00. Dani hit a standing powerbomb. She got some type of pipe and cracked it across Vipress’s back at 3:00. Vipress whipped Dani across the ribs with it, then she dove through the ropes onto Mo. Vipress whipped Mo into the rows of chairs. Mo then whipped Vipress into rows of chairs at 4:30.
Dani got a door and placed it in the corner of the ring. They got into the ring and traded chops. Vipress put Dani on her shoulders and hit a rolling DVD through the door, then a Michinoku Driver for a believable nearfall at 7:00. Mo hit her own Michinoku Driver for a nearfall. Mo slammed Vipress for a nearfall. Vipress hit another DVD for a nearfall. Mo hit a spin kick to the forehead, and they were both down at 9:00. Vipress threw powder in Dani’s eyes! She hit a piledriver for the tainted pin! By GCW standards, that was pretty tame — no blood and it really wasn’t that violent.
Vipress defeated Dani Mo to retain the GCW Ultraviolent Title at 9:29.
5. “Sturdy” Sal Mistretta vs. “Flyin'” Ryan O’Neill. Sal came out first, holding his football, and he shouted that “it’s football weather.” Sal wore a Philadelphia Flyers jersey, drawing loud boos, as we’re in Pittsburgh Penguins country! Sal hit a grazing senton, then a flying shoulder tackle. He got his football, dove through the ropes, and crashed onto O’Neill at 1:00. In the ring, Ryan hit a kick to the side of the head. He took control and kept Mistretta grounded. He hit a spin kick to the head and a second-rope elbow drop for a nearfall. Sal hit a hard clothesline for a nearfall at 3:30.
O’Neill hit a spike DDT. He hit a flip dive to the ground, then threw Mistretta back into the ring. O’Neill hit a fisherman’s buster for a nearfall. Sal nailed a top-rope superplex, then a pumphandle powerbomb for a believable nearfall at 6:00. This has been entertaining. Sal hit a powerbomb, but Ryan hit a spin kick. Sal hit a clothesline and was fired up. Ryan caught him and hit a Canadian Destroyer. he came off the ropes, but Sal nailed a spear for a nearfall, and they were both down at 7:30. Ryan vanished under the ring; he returned, holding a bat. The ref confiscated it. However, Ryan struck Sal across the face with a different weapon and scored the tainted pin!
“Flyin'” Ryan O’Neill defeated “Sturdy” Sal Mistretta at 8:22.
* Footage aired of the Atticus Cogar-Joseph Sawyer situation. Again, GCW is the “babyface” in this feud because an injured wrestler (Sawyer) didn’t want to get further injured, so he didn’t fly all the way to Alaska.
6. Tara Zep, Facade, and Jason Gory vs. “VNDL 48” Atticus Cogar, Otis Cogar, and Christian Napier. I haven’t seen Gory before; he’s white with his hair buzzed short. I fast-forwarded to the 10-minute mark. They were all brawling in the ring. Facade went to the top rope, but Otis threw a chair in his face. Gross and unnecessary. They hit the Shield-style team powerbomb and pinned Facade.
“VNDL 48” Atticus Cogar, Otis Cogar, and Christian Napier defeated Tara Zep, Facade, and Jason Gory at 12:19.
* Footage aired of Slade vs. Jermaine Marbury from last week, then more interaction between Slade and Amy Rose.
7. Slade (w/Amy Rose) vs. Priscilla Kelly in a Trick-or-Treat Street Fight. Kelly’s top had a Halloween-themed pumpkin design. She hit a shotgun dropkick at the bell and repeated stomps in the corner. She hit another dropkick that sent him through the ropes and to the grass. She followed, but Slade slammed her head on the apron. He threw her into rows of chairs at 1:00, and they fought into the crowd. Slade bodyslammed her onto a bale of hay. She whipped some chairs at him, and struck him across the back with one.
Kelly threw handfuls of candy at him. Slade got a chair and hit a hard blow across her back at 3:00. She fired up and hit some kicks, and she choked him as they rolled around on the grass by the ring. They got back into the ring at 4:30 and traded punches. Priscilla hit a half-nelson suplex, then two more! She dumped a bag of candy corn and tacks on the mat at 6:00! They fought on the ropes in the corner. Kelly hit a Frankensteiner, flipping him onto the tacks and candy corn!
Kelly then hit a splash to the ground, and she tossed him into a row of empty chairs. Kelly got more chairs and threw them at Slade. They fought by a casket. Amy Rose jumped in and checked on Slade. Kelly grabbed Rose and repeatedly slammed her face-first on the casket. This angered Slade! He grabbed Priscilla by the throat and chokeslammed her onto the casket at 9:00! He scooped her up, threw her back into the ring, and pinned her. Decent brawl.
Slade defeated Priscilla Kelly at 9:14 in a Trick-or-Treat Street Fight.
8. Jimmy Lloyd vs. Conor Claxton. I zipped to the end of this one. Conor hit a powerbomb onto a door bridge, then hit a discus clothesline for the pin.
Conor Claxton defeated Jimmy Lloyd at 8:20.
9. Joey Janela and Megan Bayne vs. Shotzi Blackheart and Lio Rush. Janela and Bayne were dressed up like Flintstones characters. Shotzi and Lio arrived in a red car, almost like one you’d see on a carnival ride. Shotzi’s jacket forms bat wings. All four fought at the bell. On the grass, Shotzi hit a snap suplex on Janela. In the ring, Lio offered a handshake; Megan is clearly taller and thicker. She shook his hand but also twisted it, then she dropped him with a shoulder tackle, and she stomped on him. Megan hit a splash in the corner and a double-underhook suplex. Lio grabbed her by her throat, but Megan broke free.
Shotzi jumped on Megan’s back, but Bayne shrugged her off. Janela jumped in and hit a Dragon Suplex on Shotzi. Lio knocked Joey through a door bridge on the floor. In the ring, Lio and Shotzi worked over Bayne. Lio hit a stunner at 5:00. Shotzi hit a running cannonball onto Bayne, pushing her through a door in the corner. Joey hit a moonsault press. Joey dove through the ropes onto Rush. In the ring, Joey suplexed Shotzi through a door in the corner. Shotzi put Joey on a door bridge. Bayne dove but splashed onto Joey! Shotzi covered Megan for a nearfall at 8:00.
Shotzi and Lio got some long boards that were painted and threw them into the ring. They threw Megan through a board in the corner. Lio hit a spin kick on Joey, but Joey whipped Lio through a board. Shotzi suplexed Janela onto a board that didn’t break. She hit another suplex, and this time it broke. Megan put Shotzi on her shoulders and hit a DVD through a board at 10:30, and suddenly all four were down. Lio hit a stunner on Joey. Megan hit clotheslines on each opponent. She splashed Shotzi in one corner and Lio in another. She then splashed onto both of them.
Megan put Lio on her shoulders and Shotzi in her arms and hit the Samoan Drop-and-fallaway slam combo at 12:30. She hit a Doomsday Device clothesline on Lio for a nearfall! Megan and Joey set up a door bridge in the ring. Shotzi hit a DDT on Bayne and placed her on the door bridge. Lio hit a Final Hour frog splash on Bayne for a nearfall at 15:00, but Joey made the save. Joey suplexed Shotzi. Lio hit a forearm strike on Joey, then a Blue Thunder Bomb onto a folded chair for a nearfall.
They all fought out of the ring, and Lio set up a door bridge in the grass. Joey hit a Falcon Arrow off the apron and through the door bridge on the grass at 17:00! Joey and Megan brawled with Shotzi by a permanent shed on the grounds. She put Joey onto a door bridge, and she climbed on top of the shed! She was maybe 10 feet up, and hit a flying senton onto Janela’s chest. Shotzi and Lio threw Joey into the ring. Lio hit one more Final Hour frog splash for the pin. Fun match.
Shotzi Blackheart and Lio Rush defeated Megan Bayne and Joey Janela at 19:31.
Final Thoughts: A solid show. The main event was a good brawl; the crowd was into it, and it was the best match. I’ll go with the Oliver/Price match for second, and Sal-O’Neill for third. The scramble was definitely below-average for a GCW scramble, and I’ll just leave it at that.
While I skipped several matches, I was surprised that the ring wasn’t filled with glass or debris, and it appears this was a blood-free show.
