TNA Impact (Episode 1,151)
Taped October 13-14, 2026, in Dothan, Alabama, at the Dothan Civic Center
Simulcast on October 15, 2026, on AMC, AMC+, and TNA+
Highlights from TNA Bound for Glory 2026 aired. The Impact intro theme aired…
Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt were on commentary. McKenzie Mitchell was the ring announcer. Gia Miller was the backstage interviewer…
Hannifan noted that this week’s show was dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the Hardy Boyz in the wrestling industry. Hannifan noted that the Hardys started their careers in pro wrestling in North Carolina on October 15th, 1992. Rehwoldt noted that the Hardys were in charge of booking this week’s show…
Matt and Jeff Hardy made their entrance to their entrance theme, “Loaded” (Thank goodness they didn’t do that tacky prelude they’ve been doing for the last few months). Matt noted that Bound for Glory was incredible, but tonight TNA Impact is going to be a special show for the “Die Hardys”. Jeff said they are celebrating 35 years of Extreme. The Hardys soaked in Hardy chants.
Matt said they are celebrating 35 years of Tables, Ladders, and Chairs (Welp, their relationship with WWE won’t get them censored like Edge and Christian). He said they had 35 years of suffering and broken bones. Jeff said somehow they are still here and kicking it. Jeff noted that it’s going to be bonkers because Santino gave them the gift of being matchmakers of this week’s show. Matt said there will be extreme matches and extreme events when the Hardys book the show.
Jeff said they are booking a Brother vs. Brother match. Jeff said he and Matt have battled enough, so this Brother vs. Brother match is between Nic and Ryan Nemeth. Jeff said he tried to book them in a bra and panties match, but that wasn’t approved. Jeff said they need to actually compete, and if one of them tries to intentionally lose, they will be stripped of the tag team titles.
Matt said he’s booking a match between two of their biggest recent rivals, Syx vs. The Righteous. Matt said both of those teams literally tried to kill them, so he wants to see them tear each other apart. Matt said he was booking Syx vs. The Righteous in a tag team tables match. Matt said for the Knockouts, they are booking Indi Hartwell, Gabby Forza, and Harley Hudson vs. Xia Brookside and “The Apex” Shayna Baszler and Zoey Serrano. Matt said this isn’t about just celebrating the past, but celebrating the great things they are doing in the present.
Matt brought up Amazing Red doing something historic by winning the X Division Championship after becoming a TNA Hall of Famer. Jeff said Amazing Red is a game changer. Jeff asked Red to make his entrance. TNA X Division Champion Amazing Red made his entrance. Matt called Red the forefather of the X Division. Red soaked in the obligatory “You deserve it” chants. Red said Bound for Glory was a night he’ll never forget, but this night is not about him, it’s about celebrating the Hardy Boyz and their 35 years.
Red talked about wrestlers doing what they do now just because of Matt and Jeff Hardy. Red said one of those wrestlers was him. Red said that from him and from everyone who the Hardys inspired, “Congrats on being the GOATs”. Red and the Hardys shared hugs. Matt said Red was talking about legacy, but let’s start talking about someone who’s starting their legacy: Leon Slater, the TNA World Champion. Matt called Slater the “Direction and Future of TNA”.
Matt called out TNA World Champion Leon Slater, who made his entrance. Slater gave the Hardys props for their 35 years. Slater said the Hardys were doing their thing even before Slater was in the womb, which Matt thought was actually crazy. Slater said the Hardys don’t just have titles and success, but also legacy. Slater said one of his goals is that people will remember Leon Slater. Slater said he completed a big goal by becoming the youngest TNA champion of all time.
Slater said at the end of the day, the youngest thing is just a statistic. He said that’s not the reason why the World Title means so much to him. He said it means so much because leading up to Bound for Glory, he actually felt doubt. He said he went to speak to his mom at home because she’s his rock. He said those doubts come from people who say he’s too young or too inexperienced.
Slater said to those who have those doubts, he wants to pass on that everything is going to be okay and everything will work out. He said everything will be alright because if you can see it in your mind and speak it through your mouth, the world is yours. Slater said he has the world in his hands, and he’s ready to take on any challenger. He said if you want him, you’ll get him. Matt said it looks like Leon is a fighting champion.
Jeff said Leon Slater vs. Jeff Hardy for the TNA Title is on his bucket list. Jeff said he can’t wait, but he has to wait. Matt said the Hardys are selfless bookers and won’t book themselves in title matches. Matt said they’ll after the world title later, but they will find a new number one contender tonight for Destination X.
Matt booked Elijah vs. Ricky Sosa vs. Trey Miguel vs. Jason Hotch vs. Moose in a Ladder Match to become number one contender to Slater’s title at Destination X. Matt told the crowd to enjoy the Hardy Show to end the segment…
John’s Thoughts: A bit of a long segment, but I didn’t mind it and found it productive as it laid the framework of the Hardy Boy anniversary show, while also making sure to also keep it from being a filler show by treating it as fallout from Bound for Glory. I liked that they allowed Leon Slater and Amazing Red to have their moment in the spotlight after their big title wins. Slater especially got to cut a good promo to sell the big moment of him living his dreams. One line that caught my attention from Matt was him calling Slater the “Direction and Future of TNA”. Future? Did lil homie sign a contract that nobody is aware of?
Nic Nemeth and Ryan Nemeth were backstage. Ryan wondered if the Hardys were allowed to do this. Nic said he’ll look into that later. Nic said he’s more pissed that he was supposed to get his contractually obligated rematch, but the Hardys went above him and booked another number one contender match. Nic said what’s worse is he’s not even in the new contender match.
Nic said the Hardys are trying to make the Nemeths fight each other, and good luck on that. Nic said we already know who will win. Nic said it’ll be simple; Nic wins and we’ll get through this. Ryan said, “What if I win?” Nic told Ryan to do the right thing; Nic wins. Ryan said, “I might win”. Nic teased tension, but then laughed it off, saying, “That’s why you’re the funny man”. Nic continued to laugh, saying he’ll make sure their mom watches their match…[c]
Santino was sitting on a couch, singing about how he’s on vacation today. Alisha Edwards showed up with The System to tell Santino, “Do you want to know something?” Santino said he doesn’t want to know something because he’s on vacation. Cedric Alexander said he wants his singles rematch for the X Title and the Scramble Match at BFG doesn’t count. Brian Myers argued about no System members being in the world title number one contenders match.
Myers said the match is filled with curtain jerkers like Ricky Sosa. Eddie Edwards cut in and said Ricky actually earned a shot. The rest of The System acted shocked at Eddie giving Ricky any sort of props. Eddie asked Santino to get The System in the contenders match.
Santino did Alisha’s catchphrase and said he can’t because he’s on vacation. Santino walked off. Bear Bronson spoke up and berated Eddie for praising Ricky Sosa and having a bonding moment with him at Bound for Glory…
John’s Thoughts: Interesting story beat. I liked Eddie breaking rank here and showing sympathy towards the babyface that beat him. I also liked Bear stepping up and getting in his face (now if they only protected him in terms of in-ring credibility). Eddie has been a decent heel for a hot minute. I wouldn’t mind seeing him turn back babyface. As long as they don’t go back to that dumbass “Crazy Eddie” thing where he acted like Tommy Dreamer’s clone and named his Kendo Stick “Kenny”.
A Tale of the Tape aired for the Nemeth vs. Nemeth match. Entrances for that match took place. Hannifan noted that this is the first time Nic and Ryan ever wrestled each other in pro wrestling…
1. “The Wanted Man” Nic Nemeth vs. “The Hollywood Hunk” Ryan Nemeth. Both men started the match circling the ring in amateur wrestling form. Nic whispered something in Ryan’s ear. Nic did a Muay Thai pose. Ryan did an Orange Cassidy light kick to Nic, and Nic oversold it. Nic did the Peter Griffin “Sheeeeee… Ahhhhh…”. Nic then laid spread-eagled to give Ryan the pin if he wanted. Matt and Jeff walked out with chairs to watch the match. Matt reminded The Nemeths that they’d be stripped of the tag titles if they faked their fight.
John’s Thoughts: I mean… I thought it would be pretty hilarious and interesting if Ryan got a pinfall victory over the former World Champion.
Matt led the crowd in a “fight”. Nic yelled that the Hardys can’t tell them what to do. Matt reiterated the stipulation. Ryan rolled up Nic for a two count. After protesting a bit, Nic rolled up Ryan for a two count. Rehwoldt said this was heartbreaking. Nic and Ryan started poking each other, which Matt called boring. Nic landed a superkick on Ryan and acted conflicted.
Nic yelled, “Look at what you made me do!”. Nic walked around conflicted over tuning up the band. Matt led a “one more time” chant to goad Nic into doing another superkick. Nic gave Ryan a Fame Asser for the victory.
Nic Nemeth defeated Ryan Nemeth via pinfall in 5:01.
Hannifan jokingly called this a modern-day Cain and Abel. Nic went to Ryan and was concerned. Nic took the mic and said he was supposed to get his world title rematch. He said he’s going to have his eyes on the number one contenders match, every damn second. Nic then started checking on Ryan’s head to see if he was okay…
John’s Thoughts: A part of me wanted to see an actual match between the two. A part of me also would have liked to see Ryan pick up a win over the former world champ via the toe poke of doom. That said, I didn’t mind this harmless comedy humiliation ritual. At least it gives Nic more reason to be angry.
AJ Francis and Expressions approached The Hardys. Expressions demanded that the Hardys give Francis a title match due to him being the best big man in the industry. Matt said that instead he’ll give Francis a match against The Hardys, the GOATs. Francis said he’s not a tag team wrestler anymore. Jeff said he has the perfect partner for Francis and that man has a lot of good “expressions”, Expressions. Matt booked Francis and Expressions vs. The Hardys. Expressions got on his knees begging that he can’t wrestle…
The commentary team hyped upcoming matches…[c]
Hannifan plugged the iamals.org/rebel site in honor of former TNA Knockout Rebel and to help raise money to find a way to cure ALS…
Harley Hudson approached The Righteous and thanked them for having her back at Bound for Glory. Vincent said they dig the love. Dutch told Harley not to be anywhere near their match against The Syx because it will be dangerous. Vincent said he knows Harley wants to be in their corner later, and he agrees because they want her in their corner too…
Hannifan announced a few of the audience members as winners of a Hardy Boy cosplay competition…
Entrances for the next match took place…
2. “The Righteous” Vincent and Dutch vs. “Syx” Samuel Shaw and Joseph Sawyer in a Tag Team Tables Match. All four men traded hands. Vincent and Sawyer brawled at ringside while Shaw and Dutch brawled in the ring. The Righteous dumped both opponents to ringside and stood tall to start the match. Both teams then started to set up tables heading into break.[c]
Shaw and Dutch were brawling on the apron. Shaw almost kicked Dutch into a table, but Dutch moved aside and dropped off the apron from Shaw’s dropkick. Sawyer gave Vincent a handstand into a lariat. Vincent tried to shove a Lily of the Valley plant into both Syx members’ mouths, but they fended him off. Sawyer and Vincent brawled on the apron. Shaw superkicked Vincent on a table, but it didn’t break, so no elimination (“I AM THE TABLE” moment).
Shaw picked up Vincent and powerbombed him through the table to eliminate him. Dutch quickly gave Sawyer a shoulder tackle to knock him off the apron and eliminate him by putting him through a table. Dutch then gave Shaw a Bossman Slam. Dutch put Shaw on a table for a high-risk move. Sawyer got up and held Dutch’s leg on the top rope. Shaw grabbed Dutch and tossed him through the table for the win.
Syx defeated The Righteous in a Tag Team Tables Match in 9:37.
John’s Thoughts: At first I thought it was just Matt Hardy table spots, but TNA is having a lot of moments where those damn tables won’t break. This was a fine enough brawl. On one hand, I feel bad that The Righteous lose so much, but on the other hand, TNA should be in the business of building up Syx as a credible faction. So Syx nearly murders people backstage, as the Wyatt Sicks did. What else are they? We need that character development. Also, seeing Shaw in his NXT haircut instead of his black TNA haircut makes me automatically think Indi Hartwell. Hartwell has been the plucky babyface for a long long time. I wouldn’t mind seeing an In-Dex reunion and seeing if Indi can pull off being a serious heel?
It was time for the TNA Sponsored Injury Report. Leon Slater is “Out” as a precaution for his back issues. Tasha Steelz is “out” with an injured leg. Trey Miguel is “cleared”…
Matt and Jeff ran into Frankie Kazarian and Avery Styles backstage. Kazarian said he hopes the Hardys win the tag titles soon because he and Avery want to face the GOATs when Frankie calls his shot. Matt said he appreciates Frankie taking Avery under his wing. Matt said as long as Frankie stays on the up and up, Frankie wouldn’t have to call his shot because The Hardys will just give Frankie and Avery a title shot without cashing in. Frankie said that was good… [c]
John’s Thoughts: Interesting. I wonder if this will lead to Frankie wanting to have his cake and eat it too by acting like a babyface, yet trying to help the Hardys cheat to get the tag titles. Therefore, he can have his world title shot. Whatever it is, we can all expect Uncle Frank turning on Avery at some point.
A short cinematic aired where the camera swapped between Allie and Rosemary multiple times. When Rosemary opened her eyes, there was a dark void instead of eyeballs. For some reason, there was green Nickelodeon slime behind Allie forming a heart and crossbones…
AJ Francis and Expressions made their entrance. Matt and Jeff made their entrance, and they were back to using their needlessly long intro (I actually wouldn’t mind the intro if they used Jeff’s “No More Words” theme and Matt’s Slap a Tomato theme, which fit their current GOAT characters). This week’s Matt Hardy fact of the week is that “Matt Hardy always carries pocket change”. Tom Hannifan announced the date of “The Biggest Hardy Party Ever!”…
3. Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy vs. AJ Francis and Expressions. Jeff sidestepped Francis and worked on AJ’s arm. Matt tagged in and continued to work on AJ’s arm. Jeff hit Francis with Poetry in Motion. Matt and Jeff cut the ring in half on Francis. Expressions got a distraction, which allowed Francis to hit Matt with a Mafia Kick. Francis hit Matt with his Flop Dolla Tennessee Whiskey.
Expressions tagged in and put the boots to Matt. Expressions did the Jeff Hardy dance in front of Jeff, which caused Jeff to enter the ring and attack him. Francis tagged in and gave Matt a Bear Hug. Expressions tagged in and missed a People’s Elbow. Jeff tagged in and gave Francis his double leg drop combo for a two count.
Francis gave Jeff a Body Slam. Matt tripped Francis into the Tree of Woe after Francis tagged in. Matt and Jeff gave Expressions Twists of Fate. Jeff gave Expressions the Swanton Bomb for the win.
Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy defeated Expressions and AJ Francis via pinfall in 5:36.
The show went to commercial…[c]
John’s Thoughts: I give Expressions credit for going in there as an untrained manager, but thank God Jeff is back to doing his smooth and safe Swanton Bombs as opposed to those Crouton Bombs he was doing at the end of his WWE run and AEW run (Jeff has noted that you can tell when he falls off the wagon, when he does those”Crouton” Bombs that real-life crush his opponents. Poor Sheamus in that case.). I’m not the biggest fan of Expressions, as he isn’t really a known name and comes off as bootleg Lil’ Yachty (and unlike a lot of people, I like Lil Yachty on WWE TV, but that’s because I was a fan of Yachty before WWE). That said, this was harmless fun for the Hardy-themed show. You can say that the theme of this show is “harmless fun”.
Tom Hannifan said it was time for the “Rock Solid moment of the night” sponsored by a well known blue colored boner medication. They aired highlights of the Syx vs. Righteous match from earlier…
Entrances for the next match took place….
4. Indi Hartwell, Gabby Forza, and Harley Hudson vs. Xia Brookside, Shayna Baszler, and Zoey Serrano. Xia teased wrestling her BFG opponent, but immediately tagged in Shayna. Indi tripped up Shayna and Indi tagged in. Indi gave Zoey a Big Boot for a two count. Hudson tagged in. Harley rallied with armdrags. Zoey dragged Harley into the buckles and gave her the boots. Shayna tagged in and ate some armdrags from Indi.
Hannifan noted that Indi and Shayna are familiar from WWE. Zoey blind tagged and took down Indi with a clothesline. Xia tagged in and worked on the elbow that Shayna Baszler stomped on. Indi escaped and gave Xia a Spinebuster. Gabby tagged in and gave Zoey and Shayna Stinger Splashes and a double suplex. Zoey recovered and gave Gabby a high knee to send her to ringside.
Zoey gave Gabby and Indi a Corkscrew Plancha. Shayna and Zoey surrounded Hudson, who showed fear. Harley tried to show heart, but Zoey lifted Harley and backdropped her onto Shayna’s Knee. Shayna put Harley in the Kirafuda Clutch (Hannifan said the new name, but I can’t quite figure it out). Xia prevented Indi from entering the ring to allow Harley to tap out.
Shayna Baszler, Zoey Serrano, and Xia Brookside defeated Harley Hudson, Gabby Forza, and Indi Hartwell via Submission in 5:27.
Hannifan hyped the main event of this week’s show…[c]
John’s Thoughts: A bit of a filler exhibition match, but a productive match in putting over Shayna Baszler and Zoey Serrano strong. I’m really happy Shayna is in TNA for more than just a cup of coffee, and while she’s in TNA, why not push her as her old NXT buzzsaw self? If pushed right, Shayna is one of those who can have a similar run to Mustafa Ali where she can show what WWE missed out on.
An ad aired for TNA Destination X, which the narrator said was a TNA Plus special (?)…
Leon Slater made his entrance to join commentary. Moose made his entrance, followed by Elijah…[c]
More entrances wrapped up…
5. Moose vs. Jason Hotch vs. Trey Miguel vs. Elijah vs. Ricky Sosa in a Ladder Match for a shot at the TNA Championship at Destination X. After everyone else spilled at ringside, Ricky Sosa and Moose had a pose-off with their signature poses. They then traded hands. Moose gave Sosa a shoulder tackle. Sosa came back with a dropkick. Moose dropped Sosa off the top rope with his signature high dropkick.
Elijah knocked Moose to ringside with a Gamengiri. Elijah gave Hotch a Stone Cold Stunner. Sosa gave Elijah a slingshot strike. Sosa hit Moose with a Standing Spanish Fly. Trey gave Sosa a huracanrana. Sosa hit Trey with a Blue Thunder Bomb. Hotch sent Sosa in the corner and hit him with Mustafa Ali’s rolling neckbreaker.
Hotch gave Moose and Elijah a double DDT. Trey took down Elijah with an enzuigiri and gave Sosa a stomp to the back. Moose came in with a big boot on Trey. Moose gave Elijah a dive to ringside. Hannifan reminded viewers that Moose has a fear of ladders. Moose and Elijah took out Hotch with a ladder. Sosa took out Moose and Elijah with a dive over the ropes.[c]
Back from break, the ladder was set up in the center of the ring. Elijah and Trey brawled at the top of the ladder. Elijah knocked Trey off. Hotch quickly met Elijah at the top. Elijah got a hand on the contract, but Hotch knocked Elijah off. Hotch got a hand on the contract, but Sosa knocked him off. Hotch knocked down the ladder.
Trey dropkicked the ladder into Hotch. Trey tried to give Moose a Flip Dive, but Moose caught him and gave him a Power Bomb on the apron. Moose set up a ladder bridge at ringside. Hotch used the bridge to give Moose a Tornado DDT. Trey set up the ladder in the ring. Hotch gave Trey a Blue Thunder Bomb. Mustafa Ali ran out to beat up Jason Hotch.
Hotch ended up getting the upper hand, giving Ali punches to the back. This allowed Trey to make his way up the ladder. Sosa tossed Trey into Elijah’s knee. Sosa tossed Elijah into the ladder to knock him out. Moose pulled Sosa off the ladder, and Power Bombed him on the ladder bridge (barely, but thank God his back caught the bridge). Elijah gave Moose a Top Rope El Kabong with the guitar.
Elijah climbed to the top and got a hand on the contract. Nic Nemeth randomly ran out and gave Elijah a superkick after knocking him off the ladder. Nic tried to go after the contract, but Trey Miguel gave him a Scorpion Kick and Lightning Spiral. Trey slowly climbed up the ladder and retrieved the contract from the clothes hanger-looking thing.
Trey Miguel defeated Elijah, Moose, Ricky Sosa, and Jason Hotch in a Ladder Match in 17:55 to earn a shot at the TNA World Championship at Destination X.
After the match, Matt and Jeff Hardy congratulated Trey on earning a title shot at the world title. Matt thanked the fans for being a part of the Hardys 35th pro wrestling anniversary celebration. The Hardy Boyz theme played to close the show…
John’s Thoughts: A fun all-babyface match with lots of fun spots. I think everyone got a chance to shine, but that was also due to TNA allocating a good amount of time for them, which isn’t a bad thing. I like what I saw from the newly developed acts like Ricky Sosa and Jason Hotch. The Mustafa Ali interference made sense to whisk him away since they are in a program. The Nic Nemeth thing was a bit random, but he did allow Trey to get some shine by hitting moves on him.
This was actually a decent and harmless episode of Impact. What I liked about the Hardy Anniversary-themed show is that they didn’t really go full-on Hardys, Hardys, and nothing but Hardys approach. No highlights. I think that was a good thing. I liked that they gave the Hardys plenty of focus, but also made sure the real focus was on today’s talent and the future of TNA.
