By Jason Powell, ProWrestling.net Editor (@prowrestlingnet)

AEW Dynamite (Episode 366 – Grand Slam France)
Taped earlier in the day in Paris, France, at Adidas Arena
Simulcast October 6, 2026, on TBS and HBO Max

[Hour One] Excalibur, Nigel McGuinness, and Tony Schiavone checked in from their ringside desk. They hyped the Clockwork Carnage match for the AEW WrestleDream pay-per-view, then ran through tonight’s lineup…

Ring announcer Arkady Aura delivered the introductions for the ROH Championship match as the entrances took place. Renee Paquette checked in with comments from ringside in between the entrances…

1. Bandido (w/Brody King) vs. Kofi (w/Austin Creed) for the ROH Championship. The French broadcast team checked in briefly. Bandido and Kofi shook hands to adhere to the Code of Honor. They followed up with a hug before starting the match. Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana walked to ringside. Hangman Page followed moments later, and then the show went to a picture-in-picture break roughly five minutes into the match. [C]

Swerve and Nana were in Kofi’s corner with Creed, and Page stood in Kofi’s corner with King. Schiavone noted that Swerve and Page had a staredown from across the ring. In the ring, Kofi performed a nice standing Stomp. A “this is awesome” chant broke out from the lively crowd. Kofi performed a top rope splash onto Bandido’s back and then covered him for a near fall.

Bandido rallied with a top rope fallaway slam into a moonssault. Bandido had Kofi pinned, but Kofi put his foot over the bottom rope. Swerve and Page were shown jawing at one another from across the ring. Kofi hit an SOS and covered Bandido for a near fall.

Swerve got excited about a near fall and was leaning on the apron, which apparently was enough to trigger Page, who confronted him. The others at ringside kept Swerve and Page apart while Bandido hit Kofi with a 21 Plex before pinning him.

Bandido defeated Kofi in 14:20 to retain the ROH Championship.

Afterward, Swerve and Page still had to be kept apart. Swerve eventually joined Creed and Nana in checking on Kofi…

Powell’s POV: The match was entertaining, but the friction between Swerve and Hangman overshadowed what was happening in the ring. I know the companies don’t like to mention one another by name, but AEW should have made an exception to point out that Bandido beat a former WWE Champion. On a side note, WrestleTix listed the venue as being set up for 6,932, with 6,407 tickets distributed. The total number of seats on the map is 8,447. This is AEW’s debut at the venue.

Renee Paquette narrated a video package on the Clockwork Carnage match. She read through the rules of the match…

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviewed AEW World Champion Will Ospreay and Mike Bailey on the interview set. Ospreay said he and Kazuchika Okada have met 13 times, and he’s only won two of them. Ospreay brought up the Clockwork Carnage match.

Bailey interrupted to inform Ospreay that he has a Clockwork Carnage match on Collision. He said if he qualifies for the match, he won’t hold back in the AEW World Championship match. Ospreay jokingly acted like he was upset, but then said that’s what it’s all about…

A graphic noted that the Clockwork Carnage qualifier was up next… [C] Entrances for the qualifier took place. Hook walked out with Samoa Joe, but he did not accompany him to the ring…

2. Samoa Joe vs. Jack Perry in a Clockwork Carnage match qualifier. Joe performed his uranage slam in a corner of the ring. Joe controlled the early offense and was in control heading into a PIP break. [C]

Joe continued to dominate the offense until Perry superkicked him. Perry eventually went for his Snare Trap finisher, but Joe reached the ropes and rolled to the floor. Perry followed and swung around the ring post to kick Joe. Perry charged Joe, who performed a uranage slam on the floor.

Perry barely beat the referee’s count and then flipped off Joe while lying on the mat. Joe put him in a rear naked choke, but Perry leveraged into a pin and got a two count to break the choke. Perry caught Joe with a couple of kicks and went to the ropes. Joe threw a kick at Perry, who spat in his face. Joe performed the Muscle Buster and got the clean pin…

Samoa Joe beat Jack Perry in 10:45 to qualify for the Clockwork Carnage match for the AEW World Championship at AEW WrestleDream.

Powell’s POV: An entertaining match with Joe dominating most of the match aside from Perry’s nice run of offense. I could do without Perry’s badass routine, which included him flipping off Joe and spitting in his face. There’s a lot to like about Perry, but I just can’t buy into his current character.

AEW International Champion Kazuchika Okada delivered a pre-taped promo from an outdoor location. He said he’s been told that his English has improved. He said to wait until people hear him speak in French. Okada spoke in French briefly. He reverted to English while saying they would have to build him a monument once he becomes the AEW World Champion…

Jon Moxley and Gabe Kidd were shown with the other Death Riders. Marina Shafir gave Moxley the usual pre-match slap and then headed to the ring with Moxley and Kidd. Mark Davis and Jake Doyle made a standard entrance…

3. Jon Moxley and Gabe Kidd (w/Marina Shafir) vs. Mark Davis and Jake Doyle. The broadcast team noted that Don Callis was not in the corner of Davis and Doyle. Schiavone wondered if Callis missed his flight to Paris. Kidd and Doyle hit simultaneous clotheslines. They got up, fired up, and repeated the simultaneous clotheslines, but this time both men collapsed. [C]

Kidd put Davis down with a brainbuster and had him pinned until Doyle broke it up. Kidd and Davis traded suplexes. Davis blasted Kidd with a lariat and followed up with a piledriver. Doyle stopped Moxley from returning to the ring while Davis pinned Kidd…

Mark Davis and Jake Doyle beat Jon Moxley and Gabe Kidd in 10:50.

Excalibur announced Jon Moxley vs. Mark Davis for the AEW Continental Championship at WrestleDream…

Powell’s POV: I like that Davis and Doyle went over because it’s a credibility-building win for their team. I’m not sure why Davis pinning Kidd set up Davis with a shot at Moxley’s singles title, but they should have a good slugfest.

Kyle Fletcher made his entrance for the TNT Title match.

[Hour Two] TNT Champion Darby Allin made his entrance…

4. Darby Allin vs. Kyle Fletcher for the TNT Title. A few minutes in, Darby jumped off the ring post and hit a crossbody block that sent him and Fletcher tumbling over the barricade and onto a table that tipped over. Moments later, Allin and Fletcher fought on the English broadcast table. Fletcher backdropped Allin, who did a full rotation and landed face-first on another table before a PIP break. [C]

Darby went for a Scorpion Death Drop. Fletcher grabbed a turnbuckle pad, but he ended up pulling it off and fell into the move. Fletcher picked up a couple of near falls and then showed frustration over not getting the pin. Fletcher suffered a small cut on his back. McGuinness assumed the cut was from the table spot. Darby raked Fletcher’s back and hit Code Red from the middle rope. Darby hit a standard Code Red for a near fall.

Fletcher came back and hit a Helluva Kick and a brainbuster, but Allin still kicked out of the pin attempt that followed. Fletcher was even more frustrated and jawed at the crowd. Fletcher picked up Allin by grabbing the chain around his neck from behind, and then put him down with a half-and-half suplex.

Fletcher performed a brainbuster on the top turnbuckle. Darby bled from the forehead while Fletcher covered him for a near fall. Fletcher set up for a powerbomb, but Darby slipped away. Darby ran Fletcher into the corner, where Fletcher’s head hit the exposed turnbuckle.

Darby came back and applied a Scorpion Leg Lock. Fletcher reached the ropes, but Darby immediately raced up top and hit him with a Coffin Drop. Darby followed up with a second Coffin Drop and got the three count.

Darby Allin defeated Kyle Fletcher in 15:45 to retain the TNT Title.

Powell’s POV: A good match. It was nice to see a clean finish, as they could have taken the easy way out by having the Callis Family interfere. Sure, Fletcher’s head hit the exposed turnbuckle before he was pinned, but Darby did the same thing and bled heavily.

A video package showcased the Young Bucks vs. David Finlay and Clark Connors match for the AEW Tag Team Titles that will air on Saturday’s Collision… [C]

Renee Paquette interviewed Queen Aminata on the interview set about challenging for the AEW Women’s Championship for the first time. She said she felt great and then spoke in French about becoming the new champion…

Queen Aminata made her entrance. Renee Paquette spoke at ringside while Mercedes Mone made her entrance wearing a beret…

5. Mercedes Mone vs. Queen Aminata for the AEW Women’s Championship. Mone wore her face shield. Schiavone spoke about Aminata’s recent wins that led to her getting this title shot. Mone was in offensive control and flipped off the crowd before a PIP break. [C]

Aminata performed a double stomp from the middle rope and then covered Mone for a near fall. Aminata showed frustration over not getting the pin. Aminata performed a nice German Suplex. Excalibur said it was Aminata’s version of Kenny Omega’s Croyt’s Wrath.

Mone rolled out of the ring. Aminata followed. Mone pulled Aminata’s face onto a chair. Aminata returned the favor with a drop toehold onto the chair. Aminata seated Mone on the chair and then dropkicked her from the apron. Aminata brought Mone back to the ring and covered her for a near fall. Mone rallied with a lung blower and then hit the Moneymaker for the win.

Mercedes Mone defeated Queen Aminata in 11:10 to retain the AEW Women’s Championship.

Afterward, Thekla headed to the ring. Mone tried to hit her with the AEW Women’s Championship belt, but Thekla ducked it and then speared Mone. Thekla went for a Stomp that Mone avoided. Thekla picked up the title belt and swung it between her legs…

Powell’s POV: Aminata looked good in defeat. Mone gave her most of the offense before beating her clean. I’m waiting for a male wrestler to respond to all of the Big D belt swinging by forming a circle with a title belt while holding it between his legs.

A video featured Swerve Strickland questioning what Hangman Page was doing. Swerve, Kofi, Austin Creed, and Prince Nana said they would face Page, Bandido, and Brody King in a best-of-three falls match for the AEW Trios Titles at WrestleDream… [C]

Kazuchika Okada made his entrance with Don Callis. Will Ospreay’s entrance followed. He wore a Pac armband, just as Kyle Fletcher did during his match…

6. Will Ospreay vs. AEW International Champion Kazuchika Okada for the AEW World Championship. Don Callis sat in on commentary. Okada took an early powder and teased leaving. Callis left the table momentarily to calm down Okada, who returned to the ring.

Excalibur said Tony Khan made the best-of-three falls match for the AEW Trios Titles official for WrestleDream. In the ring, Ospreay caught a charging Okada with a boot to the face. Ospreay went to the middle rope. Okada dropkicked Ospreay, who tumbled over the top rope to the floor before a PIP break. [C]
